For those who played both, do you prefer the player movement of Madden 25 or CFB 25?

Very long thread title, but it's to the point. I personally like the heavier feel that Madden 25 has vs what CFB25. It is slightly slower, but I like how the players feel like they have legitimate momentum and I can really feel a difference between player types from power backs to scat backs to TEs to WRs and so on.

In CFB25 there is a difference in feel, but overall it still feels like in general that even the less agile players can cut pretty quickly and everyone feels more agile than they do in Madden making things like momentum and intertia feel less present in the gameplay. I also think in general that Madden 25 animates very well and better than CFB25, but that's a bit of a different conversation.

I don't necessarily want CFB26 to be slowed down compared to CFB25, but I would like to see the heavier feel of Madden 25 be more present in CFB26. But what about you guys? Which do you prefer the feel of?

I agree with you. I like the slightly slower, more grounded, feel of Madden. While I enjoy CFB25, it feels like it's hyped up on caffeine to me and the players feel a bit floaty, I guess is the word I'll use.

Back in the day, NCAA usually played similar to the previous year's Madden. I'd be for that with some tweaks.

Give me the look and feel of M25 (minus the stupid scorebug BS they patched in) with the overall gameplay of CFB25 (the CPU actually runs the ball!) and I'd be pretty happy with CFB26.

I do agree that I prefer Madden's weighted gameplay over to CFB's arcadey feel. Initially, I had a bad INT problem in CFB. I would throw 15-20 INTs in a season because CPU could quickly close on plays or have the super LB jumps. But in Madden, I remember the first game of importing my RTG QB into Superstar mode. I went from throwing 15+ INTs in RTG to my first game in Superstar throwing 23-23 320+ yards.

I do think they should either they should add a Game Speed Slider or give the option to choose Madden's game speed. I understand the concept of why they wanted faster gameplay than Madden. But, I feel slower game speed would actually do a better job of differentiating the top tier talent against the lower level

Yeah Im with you all. Madden 25 just has that weight and momentum that makes movement feel more real. CFB25 is fun but feels a bit too twitchy at times. A mix of both styles in CFB26 would be ideal.

I think keeping the overall speed of CFB25 would be fine if the players had more realistic momentum. I can live with the players sprinting as fast as they do in CFB25 now, but I think it would benefit the gameplay if they changed direction slower and more realistic like in Madden 25.

I think it would better differentiate the types of players featured in the game. As it stands now, outside of the top speed difference between players, I feel like I can pretty much cut any way I want with any player in CFB25 but that definitely isn't the case in Madden 25. Making momentum more respected in the player movement would better showcase the different tiers of player athleticism better than simply having top speed differences alone does.

I definitely prefer the movement and speed of CFB 25.

I still think there is enough differentiation between elite guys and "regular" guys for me.

CFB speed and play were just more "fun" for me this year.

Madden feels like guys are stuck in molasses, especially if I play it after CFB or NBA 2k. it's just too slow for me.

I bought Madden on sale this year and hardly played it and it was because of two reasons. The game speed and the play calling. I bought it after people said the play calling was better than it supposedly got much worse again in a patch after I bought it. I just didn't have the urge to play. I feel like they slowed it down after the BETA. Maybe to differentiate from CFB but I did not like it.

Fortunately my son plays MUT a ton so at least got money's worth out of it.

Player movement in Madden25 is so much better. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE can cut on a dime in CFB25 and I don't like it.

M25 is more realistic, but still not quite like real life. Most TE's and big guys should turn like trucks and not be so agile.

Both if that makes sense. Makes both games feel unique. I know that game speed was something that was a point of emphasis in the college game to make it feel more wide open. We were a little antsy about it before the game dropped, but I was able to adapt to it pretty quickly. Clean up some things but keep allow both to have their unique distinct feels to it.
