Job Offer Question

I for the life of me have not been able to figure out how job offers are figured. There are 3 of us in this dynasty.

I was 10-2 with Nevada (2.5 star program) in season 3 and got offered FSU, ND, and Va Tech. My younger son who is Texas State and in the CFP got offered Ark State. My older son who is App state and was 7-5 got offered UCLA and BYU. We are trying to figure out how this happens with the CFP team getting offered bad school like Arkansas State.

Not sure if there is a sure fire method to this madness.

I tried to chalk it up to overall wins/losses as a coach, your scheme, coach level, and nothing seems to make sense.

I simmed out a decade and simmed losses for jobs I wanted and never got offered those jobs. I tried making my coach an alma mater of that school, scheme, and pipeline.

I have no clue on how to get those jobs listed. Maybe they only look for certain coach prestige? Mine was A or A+. Maybe they want a lower prestige if it's a smaller school. I tried to get the FIU job and never could get it.

The jobs I did get were all in the SEC. If I force losses those school I got job offers from them every year or every other year.

Well what Position weve you offered ? when I was offered jobs,the smaller schools offered head coach and the bigger schools offered coordinator spots, almost like i had to prove my self as a coordinator at a big school first. I went from HC At Nevada, to OC at GA Tech, to HC at UCLA. I made my alma mater FSU and after 2 seasons of 10 and 12 wins, I got the offer from FSU after the coach retired.

I have played / started several dynasties. I'm not an expert on this by any means, but there are some similarities I have noticed in each dynasty. There was a fix about a month ago in the Coaching Carousel, so some of this could be wrong in the current release.



There are very few P4 HC offers before you achieve Level 25 for your coach. They are fairly typical once you are Level 30 or higher. I have gotten a HC offer from Virginia after the first season in my last two dynasties and then a P4 HC offer drought (P4 Coordinators and all G5 coaching positions only) for the next two or three.



While it sounds like your youngest had the most successful season, the results from the previous seasons appear to be considered important as well. What coach levels do you three have?



I read somewhere (maybe Chase from here?) that recruiting pipelines are important for potential schools. What pipelines have the three of you chosen? The 3 schools you were offered all have the Tidewater, Big Apple, and Metro Atlanta pipelines. Any of these yours?




You can see each school's pipelines here. This may have changed, but EA built these using the historical rosters for the schools, so any changes made is likely because they were correcting mistakes.

It seems u get more rebuilding Team offer. I u want an specific Team to hire u, do an new member in ur dynasty an week before u retire the Coach from that school. IT Work for me i was HC UAB and i wanna Coach Florida Gators.

Season 6 playoff currently. 3x national champ. Best offer so far has been Maryland.

Ohio State, OU, Alabama, FSU have come up for other users in the OD.

I read somewhere, and I forget where, that there is a programmed hierarchy of schools that drives a lot of the offers. So if you’re at Texas State and win five NC’s in a row, someone at Minnesota with a similar Coach Level will get better offers.

I’m in an online dynasty and this seems to hold true. I was at a smaller school winning NC’s and got very little in the way of decent offers. My friend was at a mid level power five school and got most of the big openings offered to him.
