Question about Custom Conference glitches

Hey everyone, I'm looking for some advice on the custom conference glitches I've been reading about. I'm currently in my 7th or 8th season of an online dynasty, using a custom team from Team Builder. My team is in the Mountain West Conference right now, but I'm thinking about moving into a new conference. I'm considering recreating the Pac 12 with its original members, except I'd leave Colorado in the Big 12 and move my team into the Pac 12. I'm not planning to move any other teams around—just putting the Pac 12 back together.

My question is: would this setup cause any major issues or glitches in my season? Alternatively, if I just move my team out of the Mountain West into another conference without recreating the Pac 12, could that lead to any problems? Any advice or insights would be really helpful. Thanks!

Oh yeah, it will screw up the scheduling. You’ll get like 2 home games and 7 away in conference. Plus you’ll have most of those games away in the 2nd half of the season so you won’t be able to invite enough recruits to games. But it’s not broken, dear god don’t say it’s broken, you’ll be attacking someone I don’t know who but someone will come forward.

If you do end up changing the conferences just make sure to change all the conference games for each one you mess with. Because the game tends to reset it back to to 4 conference games each time you move a team.



But yes the home and away games will get messed when you start moving teams conferences, so sometimes you can play like 3 road games at the end of the season.

I don’t even mess with custom conference, yet I’m stuck with 7 consecutive away conference games and playing the same conference opponents away every seasons. I had to put a pause on my FAU dynasty because of that crap.

Holy shiat. I had no idea it was messed up WITHOUT using custom conferences. I was about to give up on customizing and just go with the regular setup and forcing wins for my sanity. That’s not even an option. Not broken though.

Yes this issue is not related to custom conferences. It does it either way.

I’ve been doing a promotion/relegation thing so a ton of custom conference work, and I haven’t had any issues I don’t have in normal conferences. The only thing to look out for is that you need to check the number of conference games in the conference rules for each conference after each season.

I don't use custom conferences, have been the HC at Colorado State for four seasons, and haven't had more than 3 straight away games on any of my season schedules.

I get new conference opponents each season, yet do still play Air Force and Wyoming rivalries each year. My games against conference opponents do seem to switch from home and away each year...I have played teams like Hawaii, Fresno State, San Jose State, Boise State, Nevada, etc. both at home and on the road.

I have made adjustments to my schedule, switching non-conference games and such, and haven't had any major issues. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but in my experience, I haven't had any of these problems.

I didn’t notice it happening until season #5 or #6, but it is an issue. Nothing to cry about like a paranoid tinfoil hat wearer, but needs to be fixed. If they can’t fix it then at least unlock conference schedules so we can toggle home/away.
