Thoughts for the future (Crowd Noise / Atmosphere)
At the beginning of a game, imagine Penn St vs Michigan a few years back.
Penn St. kicks off and it's a touchback.
The crowd is WILD, while Michigan huddles before taking the field. Then, as they take the field, Mo Bamba came on (that's where we are at now).
But what really happened was, due to radio / TV / other media, after they spotted the ball, there was a longer than usual delay in getting the game back in session. This made the crowd noise, which was ridiculously loud, sustained for a longer period of time.
So in the future, what about up****** the game to this. After the beginning of games, half , and timeouts in situations where you'd want the home crowd to be going hard. Obviously if the situation of the game doesn't warrant it, ok, but it would feel a bit more real in my opinion.
Imagine selected your play, breaking the huddle, and before you can begin hot routing or looking at your play or whatever, the refs give you a hand up and hang it there for 3 or 4 seconds. Crowd gets a little louder. Effect for these plays only are increased a bit?
