NCAA 14 question on simming and coach trees

I noticed there has been some good info discovered since covid, and I had some questions. My favorite way to sim is to watch cpu vs. cpu, which means (I am fairly sure) that I have to deal with all coaching tree and slider effects on players.

1. I see advice to not use some coach tree skills, or not to use any except scouting. I think I probably should use coach tree skills in my case, since it means the cpu will be benefitting and I won't, which would put the team at an unfair disadvantage. Or...

2. Are you all using a utility to empty the coach tree skills for every coach?

Things aren't too bad in simming in season 2, but I can tell that something is happening to cause pass rush to be really strong such that the DEs are the stars of almost every game. This is on sliders recommended by https://forums.operationsports.com/f...14-making.html

I think I'm answering my own question here--either we're using EA DB Editor or editing the roster to tweak it to what you want and then making new leveling and/ retirement impossible.
