An advantage of merging with the American is that gets ESPN back to the table because ESPN would lose the 40-game per season deal with the American. Merging with the MWC would open up 39--46 games on CBS (23 games per season) and FOX (16 -- 23 games per season).

If that's what was said then I misunderstood. I think the Big 12 going forward will be solid. The influx of cash to Cincinnati and UCF could make them very tough to beat. Good riddance to OU and TX.

I'm in Columbia MO. We gave our coach a $2 million pay raise and extension during a season in which Missouri went 6-7 and 3-7 vs power 5 schools. I would have bought season tickets for the first time if they had hired Deion.
