What are you working on?

I imagine I'm not the only one, but I'm always working towards a few things when I play DD. Currently I'm playing BR (despite hating it) as I've accumulated so many missions that require it. At the moment I have 50 RF runs for epic Shawn Green, 60 breakout hits for epic Will Clark and I'm also trying to get a couple of those Ballin is a Habit packs by getting the 20 walks and 100 flashback hits. Grinding wins towards Griffey/Dynasty programs is a sort of side plus. Oh yeah, and 5 Twins starting pitcher wins for Blyleven, but that's never going to happen.

In the grander scheme of things, I'm trying to complete the Nl collection. Just blew all my money on Kenley Jansen, so now I only need Kris Bryant(who I had but then sold when he got downgraded), Joey Votto and Corey Seager (who I've owned repeatedly and sold whenever I wanted to buy someone expensive). It'll take me a hell of a long time now though as I've done most of the money spinning My Career missions and I'm down to my last 10k, although I do have 40 Andrew McCutchens stored for a rainy day.

What about you? What are you working on? Or are you not a schemer?

Taking a bit of a break, but I was working on the Breakout programs. 7/33 Dingers, and something like 9/15 and 59/73

Thinking about doing the Oswalt program. Can anyone tell me if it's worth it or not?

If anyone has the info, I'd like to know the velo on his 4SFB, SNK, CH to help me decide if he's worth the time investment.

I like that Hanley card too, but there's no way I'd use him on the left side of the infield with those defensive stats.

Hanley is the best hitter I've used, the ball comes off his bat better than Trout, Williams, Dawson, anyone really. Just a shame they took away his ability to play first and leftfield.

As for Ostwalt, he's ok, not great. Fastball is mid to low 90's iirc, maybe 93, but his real quality pitch is his curve ball which drops from above the zone to below the zone, a bit like Rich Hills. It's really hard to throw for a strike, but it's so hard to figure that out as a hitter. You know it's going to drop a mile, but exactly how far is tough. His main strength is that he's an impact veteran and better than most of the other obtainable ones, so if you get a mission where you need to get IV pitcher stats, he can hold his own better than Liriano, Hughes, Seaver and the other chumps. Not great, but useable

EDIT Just looked it up, Fastball and Sinker 92, Changeup 83 (lovely) and Curveball aaaaall the way down at 72. 84 mph slider is nice as well, good break on all his pitches and he essentially has two pitches at each speed, so you can definitely get people off balance

I really like Both Oswalt and Hanley. And it's not like using Hanley at 1st causes him to completely fall apart. He plays first just fine.

I have Adrian Gonzalez at first and I don't see myself taking his bat out of the 4 hole. The time it would take for me to get Hanley/Oswalt just doesn't seem worth it to me, even though I do want them.

Re: What are you working on?

Kinda working on a lot of stuff at once.

Using Hardware guys to try and finish the Hardware season stats for the Griffey mission(finished the other two already).

Also have a couple IV in the lineup to chip away at the Hanley mission.

About halfway done with the Oswalt season requirements but put that on pause cause I'm trying to get Drabeks 40 innings to get the Hardware McCutchen.

After that I need to do the Saberhagen mission to get that David Wright.

Once I finish those I'm going back to Ranked for awhile.

Re: What are you working on?

I'm working on controlling my urge to sell my AS Gwynn and AS Cano so I can buy a pair of 50 packs when the new set comes out today.

Help.
