Idea For Server Issue Compensation

On the off chance that anyone at SDS is paying attention to any of this, I had an idea on what they could do to compensate us for all the server problems. Last year I think we got like 10 packs or something but this year the problems have been way worse. Everything I'm seeing on here and twitter is people want like 50-100k stubs or 50-100 pack bundle. I think that amount would be fair, but the problem with giving everyone that many packs/stubs at once is the market would completely crash.

I think they should add 5-7 new diamonds, and give everyone a free diamond but we get to choose. Similar to 2k when you beat domination you have an option between 6 different players. This way, we all get an amazing card as a gift for dealing with all the issues, but we have variety so everyone doesn't have the same card in their lineup.

What do you guys think? I know it's a long shot, and we'll STILL probably get a lousy 10 pack bundle, but I thought this was a good idea. What would you guys want as your in-game gift for dealing with the early problems?

Providing a free diamond player to everyone will devalue all the other cards/quests in the game. It lowers the value of diamonds and golds significantly.


They'll have to stick with packs, otherwise it will have a massive effect on the market.

Yeah I guess you're right I didn't consider that, I was just trying to think of a different idea than packs, because 90% of people won't even pull a gold out of a 10-pack bundle lol

It's a good idea, don't get me wrong. I just think it would have a pretty adverse effect.


I'm pretty certain will get a 10 pack bundle.

From a marketing/customer service standpoint, that won't solve their issue.


The issue for SDS is that they are afraid their server issues will/have caused people to stop playing the game. This will effect their spending on in game items and the possibility of them being repeat customers. Therefor, they need to come up with something that brings players BACK to play 17. Giving something off 18 is a great theory, but it doesn't bring players back because there is no value to the player until next year. They also will likely have moved on from the game by that point.


If I worked at SDS studios, I would provide some packs to please the players. But I would also develop a few new missions, probably based solely around number of innings played, in exchange to a huge reward. The concept would be that this would attract players back to the game because if they play 10 games, they would receive more packs. Play another 10 games and you get another 10 packs etc etc, reward the players for continuing to play.


They have to get players BACK to 17 and PLAYING. Just throwing out packs doesn't solve that. Some people would log on, open their 10 'free' packs, receive nothing of value and never play again. A scale like this rewards players for continuing to PLAY the game.


I don't know if they'll do it, but its certainly what I would do.

I'm still wondering when exactly are we going to see this compensation they speak of, not like it matters my pack luck this year has been pretty bad.

I don't think giving out free packs or diamonds is the answer. I think, depending on how many hours you have played, you should be allowed to unlock a certain number of missions.
