Prime Joe Mauer

Just wondering if anyone here has experience with Prime Joe Mauer, whether it's from Battle Royale or if you got him by completing his mission.

His mission is quite the grind so I'm wondering if it's worth the stubs and time.

I just unlocked him 3 days ago.....since then: .366, 6 HR, 14 RBI in just 10 games. As you can see, he's been a beast for me so far. All H2H.....I just hope I can keep it up with him.

I played with him in 7 or 8 games in BR. He hit about .750 with 5 HR's. So yeah, beast.

He's been the best catcher for my far (over Bench, Berra, Yadi).

Well I'm definitely able to afford his rookie card now, that thing is crashing down (yay)

Kinda thinking about just continuing to save for that prime one though. Most of the rookie missions seem ok except this one which is 115 hits...like holy **** how many games do I have to play to get this?! I know easiest method is play on rookie but I'm so over grinding lol. Been mixing it up playing BR and regular games because who knows maybe he is my 12-0 reward in BR!

I also noticed he has to be fed infielders. I have sold literally every single player I have that I don't use, because I finished all Command and Conquer and Collection missions...

I scratched and clawed enough stubs to get the rookie...got about 20 hits, then once I realized I have to lock in I sold him, and made about 20k. I'll just save up for the prime in case I don't like him at least then I can get my stubs back.

Or is there a way I can do some BP w/ him w/o purchasing ?

You could just edit the Mauer on the regular roster to have the same ratings as the prime, then do batting practice with him. And if you do the mission, it locks in the rookie, but you can still sell the prime that you receive.

Thanks, I knew someone was smarter than me on this...it's a lot of stubs for one player and I'd rather not be locked into the expenditure...
