Lefthanded hitters

My team is so righty heavy, so when I match up with a righthanded pitcher it can be a long day. I've got my DD created guy as a switch hitter, and Weiters is a switch hitter but stinks against righties. Dyson is a lefty and he's usually my leadoff guy. Other than that I don't really have any lefties.

I was thinking of going after CarGo to play LF, and obviously Cano would be amazing to get at 2B. What are some other lefties to target? I was thinking Adrian Gonzalez, Bryce Harper and Freddie Freeman would be nice guys to start with. Bryce and Freddie are both super cheap and they could be platooned with other guys, A-Gon is a little more expensive but he also has a great glove at 1st, and has a 99 clutch rating.

Votto is pretty decent.

Re: Lefthanded hitters

Just grab some cheap left handed hitters like Duda or Lind. The downside is they can't hit lefties and many of the good left handed hitters are limited to 1B, but they are very useful if you want to start them vs right handers or use them as pinch hitters.

I got Eaton from somewhere and he is pretty useful, nothing special. Ok speed and has solid contact ratings against left and right handed pitchers. He's cheap on the market as well.

Re: Lefthanded hitters

Corey Dickerson is a good lefty bat vs righties and plays OF

Re: Lefthanded hitters

I picked up Prince Fielder, Panda Sandoval, Corey Dickerson, Scooter Gennett, & John Jaso for 1,372 combined stubs, not too bad and a cheap way to leftify my lineup.

Guys I'd like to target down the road would be Cano, CarGo, Brantley, Votto, Papi although he's such a defensive liability, and how many 1B do I really need lol. So many of the great lefty hitters are first basemen. Votto, Freeman, Mauer, Lind, Adams, Morneau.

Re: Lefthanded hitters

I'm not sure what his cost is but Melky Cabrera has been nice for me. I hit my switch hitting dd player lead off and have switch hitting melky batting second.

Re: Lefthanded hitters

Brandon Belt is super cheap and has been good for me hitting vs righties and lefties. Also has power to hit out the park

Re: Lefthanded hitters

I also just put in a buy order for Erick Aybar.

He actually hits about the same vs. RHP as my current guy Castro, but he's got a better glove (although a worse arm) and bats switch, and has a little bit better contact vs. lefties as well. Not as much power but better plate coverage (91 vision vs. 55)
