PS3 or 360?

I only have money for a brand new 360, and it looks great! I'm not really an online gamer, although I appreciate demos and what not. I'm really indecided on what to get. I love metal gear online, and thats probably the main reason why I want my ps3 back, but I need something to play nba2k11 lol..

What are good games are 360? I'm not into halo, and all that fancy action jazz. I'm into shooters, stealth, etc. I'm glad MGS:R will be on 360 in case I happen to get a 360 lol

If your concerned about first part titles, and don't care much about online, then go PS3... better first part selection, and online is free.

And NBA 2K11 is available on PS3, so I don't really get that reason?

ps3 is $299, xbox is 199. So cost is a major concern. Though, I was just thinking about getting a used slim for about 200.

still indecisve. It seems that the gaming world isn't what it use to be a yr ago. I'm on all the gaming sites, and the exclusives and what not seem more of the same. halo this, god of war that. cod this. lol. blegh

It's also worth noting that Mass Effect 2 and Left for Dead 2 will be coming over the PS3 as well.

And again, for you to get some of the roster upgrades to your sports game, you'll need that $60/yr Xbox Live Gold service, whereas it's free on PS3.

Besides, that $199 Slim is only 4gb of memory dude... you start putting demos on there and you're going to run out of space QUICK.

You said you wanted solid first party titles (and aren't interested in the Halos or Gears of Wars of the world), and don't play online much, so I just don't see how the Xbox would benefit you at this point.... spend the extra $100 for the PS3.

4gb? man, that sounds like robbery. I think i'll get the slim, man I hope they have a black friday special. I don't want to buy it used. prefer brand new!

Well you should weigh the pros and cons of both systems and make your decision. I have a ps3 slim now and i also had a xbox 360 and it was great as well. They both are pretty durable now with the new innovations being made for both. I never had a overheating prob with either. So you should figure out which exclusives you like better and maybe which controller fits you best. Since your not big on online play the free online play won't be big for you on the ps3. But the ps3 does do a little more than the 360.

The ps3 exclusive list is amazing there game studios are amazing for bringing in new titles.

personally, I'm not impressed by that ps3 exclusive list. Personally hated resistance, fun for awhile than boring. Exclusivity is never a concern with me. To me, most of them look boring and don't capture my interest.

its all about cost and what runs smoothly.

most people aren't playing exclusive games anymore.. if its not cranked out by sony entertainment or microsoft studios, its hardly going to be any exclusive.

sports and rpg's is my concern as well! couldn't forget about that! i have oblivion, I need to go to my friends house(whom I haven't seen in like 3 months) just to go get the gamesave off his ps3 lol.

I think I'll try the ps3, hopefully on black friday if I don't have to spend that money. Hopefully, I can get a great deal.

Anyone here bought a console on black friday? what was the markdown?
