Re: How should I do the conference realignment?

Hey man, I'll attach an Excel sheet, in PDF form, with how I ended up doing the conferences. They aren't all perfect, but I tried to make them as close to possible while keeping teams in conferences of the same magnitude (ex. Power vs Small). I used Raider's rosters for this, so I replaced Winston Salem St. with Seattle and NJIT with North Dakota.

The only conferences I weren't really happy with after the realignment were the fact that I had to turn the teams from the Mountain West (Major) to the Colonial (Mid-Major). I also had to end up with what is the American in real life as the Mountain West which is a Major conference in the game. Since you basically have to add a conference to the game, since the Big East split to form the Big East and the American, I moved the teams that make up the Summit League (plus ORU who will move back next year as far as I know) to the Independents.

Through simming, everything seems fine as I have seen Louisville win titles 10+ years in. Let me know if you or anybody have any suggestions for this, and I hope this helps you out!

Nice! Thanks for this. I was too lazy to do the research myself.

can you re-align the conferences at the end of each dynasty year? I just bought the game on ebay, and I can't remember from the last time I had it 5 years ago or so.

I just the game myself. Found out you can move teams around if you have custom conference on when you start your legacy. I saw this info from someone else's post, thought I would share. This looks like it's going to be fun. I need me some BBALL fix!
