custom chants

I don't really understand this feature, what is it and how do you use it?

Re: custom chants

You can use the chant creator to make custom chants from a database of sounds. Then assign the created chants to specific game situations (ie. opponent shooting free throw) so the crowd will say the chants or clap or stomp or whatever the way you want them to. Basically if you can recreate a lot of school specific chants and assign them to get an even more authentic feel.
You can also download them from 2kShare and save yourself the trouble although I haven't really found a complete custom chant set yet or even one that has a whole Conference.
Also, not entirely sure how to use them. I think you have to just load it at startup and it should work in all games but for some reason when I've tried it I rarely hear my custom chants (and sometimes not at all) and usually hear the standard stuff instead.
I've only had the game for about a month too so could anyone with more experience answer the question about how to properly use them? Do you have to load at every startup or every game? Do they work with a saved Legacy?
Thanks.

Re: custom chants

You have to load them from the main menu, and they work in Legacy... Well, when they work.

You almost have to assign them to every situation if you want to hear them at all.

I started creating a file, but just thought it was too much work and didn't think it was worth it.

Thanks. I thought I was doing something wrong because I almost never heard any of my created chants. I'll assign them to more situations and hope that works.

It takes some time and you have to load them up everytime. I still have yet to hear them in my legacy but I did get them to work in exibition games. Not sure what the deal is there. Its a cool feature though if it would work.

I'm Ohio State so I have the crowd saying OH - IO and stuff like that.

I just did some more work on this file. They are very basic school chants for 64 teams... Now available on 2K Share (PS3).

They add a little bit of flavor... Not much, but a little.

Re: custom chants

Does anyone still have these old created chant saves that were uploaded online years ago?
