It was time last night. North Texas fired McCarney. I didn't want the responsibility of keeping up the thread though.

Bye Sark.

Now stay away from the Pete Carroll tree. Bring us a proven HC and lets win some more championships with all this talent.

...and now that this is out the way, here's some actual context:

Sarkisian taking forced leave of absence.

One last joke from me at Sarkision's expense.

I guess he's officially off the Carousel.

I'll show myself out.

Interesting list of the top coaching candidates at this point. I'm ignoring the fact that it's Maryland as they don't have the clout to pull some of these guys from where they currently are at, but for programs looking for new coaching this year, this is a pretty solid list.

If they truly want to help him, they would fire him immediately with cause and take some of the money that buying him out would have cost and offer him treatment at a top-of-the-line rehab center. Creating a true rock bottom is better than continuing to enable, which is what has been happening since his days at Washington according to reports now coming out about his days there.

He's had his chance after the public incident at the fundraiser. Now he's showing up drunk around his players, who he's supposed to be in charge of discipline for. Nope, can't have that.

It may have something to do with insurance and laws. It is hard to fire people, specially if they have some mental or emotional problems. You have to first offer them help and then firing options become available.
