Getting into College Football; What Team to Root For?

I'd say Texas. You always have something to look forward to, because we are always "just one year away". When we lose it is never the fault of our coaches or players, but the unrealistic fan base and unsupportive media, just ask Mack Brown. And although we do win plenty of games, there is always Oklahoma to count on for an absolute curb stomping every year. Just in case you get a little big for your britches. Hook 'Em!

Whilst it would be silly to base fandom on that factor, it does certainly present a compelling argument. One that, ahem, requires further analysis.

Seriously though, Mississippi State seems like a good school to follow, with LSU and Alabama being schools to have a following interest in, just to build my knowledge and appreciation of NCAA football.

I must admit, I used to only be a basketball fan, but now I've basically forgotten about basketball and just fallen head over heels with american football and baseball. Brilliant sports.

I would say A&M, but with all this Johnny football talk about what he did, then stay safe and don't become a fan of A&M till next season. If you really wanna watch football teams from Texas, I would say watch TCU or u.t. I would say the crimson tide if you wanna just watch a SEC team and a team not from texas.

Haha you right, all that Georgia State talk had me mixed up too. They were the ones who were in the CAA, only for a year or two, but are now Sun Belt. They weren't good when they were CAA either lol.
