OSU has given itself two weeks to come up with why they are going to keep him.
There evidence against him is not going to change, if they were going to fire him they already would have.
My guess is he is given a 2 game suspension, is forced to apologize for not taking a stronger stance vs spousal abusive and gives a large "donation" to a spousal abuse organization.
I've had this feeling every since they formed this "inquiry" team. I've been hoping that it's just a case of me being a cynic, but it just seemed from the start with the way OSU reacted to all of this that they are looking for ways to keep Meyer.

My guess is they will come out with some kind of plausible deniability case in favor of Meyer. Sure his wife knew, sure the wives of several other coaches knew, but there is no direct link that Meyer was ever told about the abuse.

Dude, he has now admitted that he knew about the abuse.
He defense is now that he knew and reported it to the proper people.
He admitted that he lied to the media when he said he knew nothing about it.

I heard he admitted to knowing about the 2015 incident. Didn't realize he admitted to the earlier one.

So I guess OSU will just say 'he was just trying to help a friend and everyone deserves a second chance".

Doesn’t title IX prohibit him from talking to the media about it?

Not a student, so I don't think it applies.

Really it's no business of anyone if it didn't affect his job performance and he didn't go to jail. Just because someone is a terrible person.

He didn't say that and it would make him look even worse. That was his out, but lying about it may cause him to be fired.

There are people I don't personally like at work, but you can't just fire them because they do things you don't like but haven't broken the law. No matter how terrible they are outside of work.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Is this really UNC? They don't self report anything, it's the way to get away with everything.

Re: College Football Off Topic

That's a rather massive misuse of analogy to compare compare a leader of young men who continued to employee a member of his staff who was a wife abuser to someone you don't like happen to like at work.

Meyer is by no means Sandusky, but it's a very bad look for a major university to have the most recognizable face of it attached to such a scandal. Aside from the PR hit for the university, and this is just my opinion, but his position should be held to a higher standard than Bill in accounting who looked at you the wrong way that one time.
