Re: College Football Off Topic

To compliment my other post earlier about UF's offense, here's this tidbit.

"The 17th-ranked Gators have looked overwhelmed in six games against Alabama, Florida State and Michigan. They were outscored 215-70 in those losses, and 32 of Florida’s points were scored by defense or special teams"

I don't see how some Florida fans still love Coach Mac and think he is the savior. He was brought in as an offensive mind and has been worse than Muschamp. He's lucky that the East has been the worst P5 division in his tenure. How long will they put up with competing for that division, but clearly not being close to a great team? As a rival fan I'm fine with him being there forever, but at some point I feel he will be gone soon.

Starting to? That heel's done been turned...I was in his corner coming into this year. He had the system re-stocked, his QB's, depth, etc. No longer...the sooner we move on, the better off we'll be.

My feelings on McElwain have mirrored Sportsforever's on Muschamp since he's been here. He's not all that good.

To a coach who won the East back to back years. I don't care if the East is the weakest in all the land, it was under Muschamp and he still never reached it. Florida obviously has much much more to prove under Mac but you don't just fire a guys left and right because you instantly don't go back to national title games like we grown to believe seeing Urban and Saban do it

SEC East has been nowhere near as good as it was in 2012-13. Another year of winning an awful *** East and getting creamed in the title game will do nothing to change my opinion on McElwain. The only impressive game we've put together with McElwain was that win over Ole Miss in 2015.

He's alright. I know he's not going anywhere anytime soon so we just have to face it ... As long as Saban is here virtually no one else in the SEC is winning anything and certainly not consistently if they did

Take the 8-9 wins and and wait for the tide to go down whenever that is

Geez. I knew Michigan beat them badly, but to knock them out of commission for weeks was unexpected!

Spoiler

It's not Michigan, but I heard Florida was too scared of Northern Colorado.

There were talks to move the game to Colorado, but Coach Mac was too scared his whole team would get suspended consider Colorado laws.

Also, did anyone hear coach Neuheisel today? Said Miami cancelling this was suspicious.... I have no words for such an out of line comment. This storm and cancellation has made it clear just how naive/ignorant a lot of people are when it comes to these types of storms. There was no need to even try and play this game at all, even on a Friday. I'm shocked to even see the Arkansas State AD try and throw the Miami admin under the bus as well considering he is from SoFla and should know how serious this storm should be taken.

Anyone who claims Miami being scared of Arkansas State is the real reason or even 1% of the reason this game was cancelled should have their head examined. The game would have never been close at all, but that is beside the point. This is a storm that will potentially be the worst storm in our lifetimes to hit Miami and it's likely to also postpone the FSU game. Who knows just how bad it's going to be in Miami when it is all said and done. I'll take a cancellation of the season if it means every coach and player makes it out safely. Some people are putting this meaningless game way to high on their priority list and ignoring the severity of such a storm.
