What happened to Judd Davies?

I didnt know a thing about him in real life, but I remember him being a hoss in the NCAA games during his stay at Nedbraska.

So, was he just one of those players who was NCAA material, but not NFL, or what?

I believe so, since he wasn't even drated. Hell, no team picked him up as a undrafted free-agent.

He was a beast as a freshman and sophomore, but I think he went down hill when he simply put too much muscle on, and no longer could run well (which seemed to happen to a few huskers during that time).

He had problems with the lines on the field jumping up and tripping him. He was probably one of the most overated players i have ever seen.

He was also a below average blocker, which may be ok in videogames, but doesn't cut it for a fullback in real life.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Oh yeah, i forgot about that. He was famous for the "Ole" block. I think he thought he was a matador.

Re: What happened to Judd Davies?

I actually grew up with Judd in Omaha. Went to church and played competitive sports with him. He was actually a decent baseball player early in high school as well. He could hit the **** outa the ball. He was a Beast since like 5th grade. We used to joke and say he'd play football and be a fullback at Nebraska when he gets older. Sure enough... He had a full beard in 6th grade. I dont think he even grew after 8th grade, so imagine him and why he was so heavily recruited out of high school. He was a freakin monster. Super cool guy and prob one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. He comes from an awesome family and is a Godly man. He is a DR and last i checked he was at Vandy. Anyway, kinda shocked he never turned out to be anything more at Nebraska or even play in the NFL. His professional career was in the medical field where his heart and passion truly is. He's a true healthcare provider and professional.
