2017 Michigan Wolverines | Harbaugh Part III

Is it a little early in the year for a team thread? You bet your *** it is, but I do what I want. Use to discuss all things Meechigan Football.

Still giddy over how Signing Day went down and expecting continued progress amidst some uncertainty.

The OL, LB, and secondary look to be areas of substantial uncertainty. What kind of QB play will we get? Can we play 11 WRs at one time? So many questions...solve them all with aggression.

Word on the street is Rashan Gary ran a 4.57 40-yard dash during spring testing. What a monster.

Anyone think Peters has a chance at QB? Harbaugh sounds pretty set on Speight but who knows

I actually wouldn't mind seeing him get a fair shot. I'm not sold on speight at all and I think Peters ceiling is way higher.

Peters was the best QB out there in the spring game. Small sample size, of course, not to include that he played against the second-teamers, but you could tell the dude's got game. He's got great athleticism and Speight...not so much.

Peters has a higher ceiling for sure. Speight seems to have hit a wall.

Excited to see Tarik Black do well. We have a bright future at the WR position for sure.

Re: 2017 Michigan Wolverines | Harbaugh Part III

The Speight/Peters thing could play out sort of like the O'Korn/Speight thing last year. I'm not going to put too much stock into one game, but Wilton has shown a troubling pattern going back to, at least, the stink bomb in Iowa City last year. It seems like he can't get out of his own way sometimes. Almost like he's trying too hard and trying too hard to make it look like he's not trying too hard. If that makes any sense. Athletes do best when they can read and react, let things flow on game day. Speight strikes me as a 50:50 mix of Ryan Mallett and Tate Forcier.

I am really excited to see Rashan Gary, Devin Bush, and Khaleke Hudson take on larger roles in this defense. They could all (obvi on Gary) be All-Conference type players this year.

The secondary is going to be interesting this year sort of how the LB spot was the curiosity last year.

Re: 2017 Michigan Wolverines | Harbaugh Part III

6 Wolverines off the board in the first 3 rounds of the NFL draft.

Jabrill Peppers | 1-25 | Browns
Taco Charlton | 1-28 | Cowboys
Chris Wormley | 3-74 | Ravens
Jourdan Lewis | 3-92 | Cowboys
Delano Hill | 3-95 | Seahawks
Amara Darboh | 3-106 | Seahawks

Too bad some of my least favorite NFL teams are snatching them up.

Same. I'll never root for the Cowboys but I'll wish Lewis and Taco well. Ditto for Jabrill and Cleveland.

I think Chesson will do really well in KC- They got Mahomes waiting in the wings and we all saw how well 2015 Chesson did as a deep threat.
