Predictions on the NCAA Tournament

In my opinion, outside of the big 3, this could really be an NCAA Tournament where we see upsets left and right. The small conference tournaments are being won by the teams who've been winning all year, not the 7 or 8 seeds sure to be bounced by 40 points in Round 1 of the NCAA's. And the mid-major field is strong this year(not exactly the quantity but the quality).

So my bold predictions are...

-3 #1 seeds make the Final Four(maybe not really bold..but still)

-At least 4 "bubble teams" make the Sweet Sixteen

-Two #2 seeds won't make the Sweet Sixteen

-A mid major will come within 6 points or less of making the Final Four

-Both Mississippi schools in the SEC will get in, but both will be one and done

-The Mountain West and Conference USA will earn mucho respect from their performances(UNM, BYU, UTEP, and UAB specifically)

-The #10 through #15 seeds will win at least 10 games in Round 1

So those are mine..what are yours?

Way too early to tell. I'll tell you more Sunday. It's hard to gauge this without the bracket as it's all about your draw and your match-ups within your bracket.

Yeah but that's not being bold at all. Anyone can predict a tournament when the bracket has been released. Even people who don't even watch the sport prior to the tournament.

I can see Murray State winning a game.

Can't really tell before the seeding comes out, but if you want bold, random predictions I got

Kentucky over Kansas in the final

Syracuse will get knocked out in the Elite Eight

Duke makes it farther this year than any other tournament in the past five years.

At least three Big Ten teams will be in the Sweet Sixteen

Re: Predictions on the NCAA Tournament

The tourney is going to be really bad IMO, worse than 2006 which I wasn't sure would be possible after witnessing that tournament four years ago.

I'm hoping we get Syracuse, Kentucky and Kansas in the Final Four at least. I don't think Kentucky is going to get there, maybe a 2003 Nat'l Title rematch will happen though.

What do you think dooms Kentucky? Outside shooting? Youth?

I think it's Kansas' title to lose.

Re: Predictions on the NCAA Tournament

My prediction....PAIN!!!!!

I am really looking forward to this year's tourney. I know people are screaming that there aren't any dominant teams and that the quality is gonna go down, but I kinda think the opposite. Kansas and Kentucky are dominant teams. They only lost 2 games a piece and none of the past few champs had that kind of record going into the big dance. Also, there are so many decent teams that almost every game, outside of the 1 v. 16 matchups are gonna be highly competitive.

I like Northern Iowa and Murray St. They could cause problems and threaten a sweet 16.
