Finally worth the pick up?

Ok...many moons after the patches and tweaks...do you think this game is finally worthy of a purchase? I read so many negatives about this game I stayed away from it.

I guess this question will get many different answers, but just wanting to see if the game has improved....worth the buy now?

they lost me when i heard about the prison story line..but i am interested in the general consensus.

Here are my settings that have breathed new life into the game for me. I believe these sliders add a realistic challenge and are fun. Use them for several matches and let me know if you like them.

Difficulty: Champion
Number of Rounds: 12
Round Length: 1 minute (believe it or not gives you realistic punch numbers)
Saved by the bell: Last round only
Three knockdown rule: Yes

Referee Foul Awareness: 10
Referee Damage Awareness: 10
Boxer Power: 8
Boxer Speed: 5 (helps with movement and punch speed)
Boxer Physical Damage: 5
Boxer Toughness: 5 (helps you remember how important defense is)
Boxer Accuracy: 10 (looks crazy, but trust me)
Boxer Stamina: 6
Counter Punch Window: 0
CPU Offensive Awareness: 5
CPU Defensive Awareness: 0
CPU Punch Output: 5

Try out these matches for some real fun:
Malignaggi (you) vs Pacman
Spinks (you) vs Hearns
Pavlik (you) vs Hopkins

Then try out matches with two good boxers, and one where your the better boxer versus a weaker guy in the division.

Personally i think this game blows easily past FN4.. there are some dumb things they did i.e. the first patch but overall the feeling is pretty much more closer to real boxing... if they just give a notch more on the stamina then the game would be perfect... no real complaints at alll

If you mainly play online, i'd say a big YES. I think it plays solid after the latest patch. With the way stamina is now, I can finally beat idiots who throw a million punches. Much more strategy involved now.
