I can't play with TPC. So if there isn't an option for buttons then I wont buy the game, period. Reason is a good one however... I have ceberal palsey which effects the muscles in the right hand alot. I can hit butons easy, but rotating a stick or whatever is too difficult for me. So I'll wait until game release and prolly rent it from blockbuster first. If I see no option for it, then I'll give the TPC a chance, but if its too hard for me, which in FNR3 it was, then I'll take it back to blockbuster and won't buy the game, period. So, PLEASE EA! Give us the option, I could care less about playing online with it, at least allow it for offline usage. It would be great for online play, maybe an option, or room for TPC only, and room for button config only. C'mon!!!!

They are either perfectly squared up at all times or partially squared. This is an area where Victorious Boxers still has a major edge. The fighters are not automatically squared with each other. There are times when you can actually face an opponents back.

Ahhh good news. It might be buyable game then. I hope you can increase the power for straight punches and decrees the accuracy along with the stamina.

UFC has one edge in the footwork. You can back out quickly by holding the left stick down. Other than that they both seem to have the same footwork. FN has a better physics engine. Thats obvious. The problem is the inability to move your head and feet at the same time and the fact that the boxers are always at least partially squared with each other reduces the amount of glancing shots which is what the physics engine is there to calculate. That stuff would really make the physics engine shine.

Maybe I'm being nitpicky. Honestly though the individual punch ratings, the lack of simultaneous head and foot movement, the fact that the fighters are always squared with each other and stuff thats possible fixed with sliders are my only major issues.
I dont know, but the head and foot movement simultaneously doesn't really bother me. I honestly didn't really notice it until you just spoke on it. I dont recall any boxing game where that was actually possible.

I guess they haven't figured out how to implement it yet. Oh yeah, Victorious boxers still holds the crown for best boxing title. I think FN4 is going to come in a close second this year.

I would give victorious boxers around a 9.5. With the .5 being taken out for the way the boxers move around.

I'm foreseeing FN4 getting a 9.5 (from myself) also, with .5 being taken out for the career mode not being as deep as victorious boxers (although we might be surprised by this legacy mode), so I might be giving it a 10.

EA doesn't HAVE TO DO NOTHING. Do You Like That? Probably Not. Should The Button Pressing BE AN OPTION? Probably Right. Will You Be Buying The Game Despite Your Gripes? Probably. If You Do Buy It EA GETS WHAT THEY WANT...YOUR MONEY, NOT YOUR OPINOINS...LOL

What's hot: Pacman looks like himself. Albeit a bit angrier in the game. I'd say they have his facials pretty much on point.

What's not: Hatton looks like.... well, this guy..

I have never used the buttons in FNR3. I'd always assumed that people were using the analog stick too. I guess that's why I lost so many matches online. I am glad everyone will be on the same playing field this year with FNR4.

Incidently, I remember when everyone was complaining that Don King's boxing had too many button combinations. now a lot of the posts I read are that of FNR4 not having any buttons.

I think having the energy bar on was a bigger advantage than using buttons.

Button-mashing is so archaic. I love the R-stick punch controls and until just recently, was still playing FN3 and have always used the R-stick. To me, it helps to more accurately resemble the sport of boxing.
