WTF is up with the 360 codes? I just tried mine and doesn't work. I tried to go online and redeem my code that way and it says page unavailable.

From the ps3 version coming out last night to this.

Re: Fight Night Round 4 Demo Impressions

The more I play the more flawed this demo is. I don't know what the developers were thinking when they tested this but my boxer feel s like he's walking in mud. It's like EA was saying "look at how cool the counterpunching and collision detection and glancing blows are. As long as you want to go toe to toe you're gonna have fun but if you want to box any other way you're not gonna enjoy yourself."

It feels like it's a 2d game like Streetfighter or a glorified version of thumbwars you played as a kid. Y'know just stand there and move back and forth looking for an opening because foot speed has no bearing at all in fact it hinders your ability. The only way you can feel comfortable is standing there and pressing L1 and bobbing the whole time looking for an opening. That part is done well but it's the only way you can play. Where's the balance. EA says style matters this time but it actually seems to matter very little.

You'll end up throwing 2000 punches in a 12 round fight with the speed in the game, no wonder stamina is jacked up. If not you would be gassed after 5 rounds.

The last FN I played was FN2 and it feels more realistic than this at least for the way I box. It had freedon of movement. This does not. Sometimes when I was moving back I almost was out of camera angle. the angle is just too close and hopefully that can be changed I don't think the rotating angle and dizzying effect can be because it looks like it's incorporated into the gameplay. Maybe it's just the demo but sometimes the stick lost it's responsiveness and there would be a delay in punching if you went toe to toe. There was even a few times where I had a flurry at the bell and in the next round my boxer would come out and punch without me doing anything because it was finishing the command from the last round. Weird.

After a few hours I'm already bored of the demo because there's just no depth to the fighting. What a letdown.

By the way. This demo is probably a couple month old. I do believe it was in the Alpha stage. Regardless, it's still not done so don't compare the final build of FN3 to this demo. It's not fair to judge a unfinished product to a final one.
