The East is wide open, I'm surprised that Jaylen Justice and the Raps are in Play-In range. Has Ezekiel Morrow returned from his suspension yet?

Also, that's rough sledding from the Heat to be on the outside looking in. A small part of me thinks 2K rewards roster continuity in the simulation to an extent so if they can't put it together this year, I wouldn't be surprised to see them gel better next season.

Random question, is there any noise with the Buy-Out market in your dynasty? Apologies if I missed it somewhere

Within that top 10, is there clear stratification? 2-3 groups?

It definitely seems like the theme of the season is injuries + depth. It felt like 7 of the teams had that as their theme "player X is injured" or "they are good, but lack depth".

Injuries were a bit of a cop out reason, as I was editing this. I may look at injury sliders because the number of guys getting hurt doesn't feel proportional to the real-life NBA, so we'll see about that.

As for groups, Golden State sits alone. I had a lot of trouble picking 2-5 and ordering them, so I'd say that group (Sacramento, Brooklyn, Boston, Utah) could be re-ordered in any way and still be consistent. Then the bottom five teams are pretty similar as well, so those would be the lines I'd draw in the sand for the different tiers.

Sorry, man! I somehow missed this. Ezekiel Morrow just returned in late-Jan. By the time he plays against Golden State, it'll be 10 games back and they are 6-4 in that time.

For the Heat, they've been screwed by injuries - story of basically every team - with Ja going down as soon as Desmond came in. They have the No. 1 defense in the league, so they can definitely turn it around.

And yeah, three buyouts happened: Brandon Ingram bought out by the Clippers and signed with Boston, Sasha Kasparov bought out by the Grizzlies and signed with Brooklyn, and DJ Steward bought out by Las Vegas and signed with Toronto.

Not the return Shane Ruffin probably hoped for.

Your commentary skills are great, are you trying to get a job in sports commentary?

I appreciate that, man. That means a lot. I went to school for journalism and broadcasting and covered minor league baseball for a few years as a reporter and podcast host. Unfortunately, the money is awful at the early stages so I changed careers to what I currently do, which is in the communications field.

I still dabble in broadcasting, particularly with SimWorld Hoops - which I don’t plug too often here to keep a line separated, but if anyone is interested, discord.gg/simworldhoops, we’re doing some really fun things.

I love broadcasting but it’s a super competitive industry with a ton of people now in it and a long way to grind to start making a living off of, though it is a ton of fun. Thanks again!

I've had a somewhat similar career path, I went to school for journalism and while I still am involved in and am passionate about journalism, I got a degree in Communications.
