Rookies in Seattle

Young rookies, Andrew Wiggins and Marcus Smart, are playing tremendously with their NBA team, the Seattle SuperSonics. Wiggins has averaged 24.3 PPG, 2.3 RPG, 3 APG, 0.7 SPG, 0.7 BPG, and a 46% field goal percentage. Smart has averaged 6.3 PPG, 2.3 RPG, 4 APG, 1 SPG, 0.3 BPG, and a 64.3 field goal percentage three games into the season. Both rookies have performed at a top level for rookies. Wiggins has won Player of the Week in the competitive Western Conference of the NBA. The SuperSonics have a tremendous bench lead by Mario Chalmers. Chalmers has helped Wiggins and Smart both in their transition into the NBA. NBA veteran, Kobe Bryant, has helped Wiggins and Smart in the starting lineup. Bryant brought Lakers teammate, Pau Gasol, to Seattle this summer to bring in a veteran presence for promising rookies, Wiggins and Smart. Wiggins and Smart seem very promising for Seattle's future as an NBA team after a 3-0 start that included defeating the Trail Blazers and the Rockets. Everyone should watch Seattle and be aware of a possible sixth ring for Kobe Bryant on this promising Seattle squad. Keep a close eye on the SuperSonics in the near future!
