Reds MLBTS25 dynasty

In my dynasty I will play every Reds game, not going to sim any of their games. I will bat for both teams, so I will not pitch or play defense. This keeps the playing field more even, so it is more about team vs team, rather than my skills vs the cpu. I already have 28 games played, have the sliders dialed in nicely to match my skills, getting some realistic stats so far.

I’m not going to put in a storyline, have game by game reports, or a lot (if any) pics, just periodic updates on how it’s going. This way I can spend more time getting games played rather than giving detailed reports.

I did add legends to the free agent pool, but kept the budgets on. Before the season started, I identified my bullpen as the area I wanted to shore up. I signed legends John Franco and Rob Dibble, but that’s it, the rest of the team is made of of current Reds. I have only 9 million left in my budget for this season. So far the rest of the league has mostly not touched the legends in the free agent pool, the only one I saw was the Twins signing Mike Piazza.

I plan to give another update soon, showing my opening day roster, and the current roster changes. I just made my first trade, I will give details about that, too.

Re: Reds MLBTS25 dynasty

I wanted more pop from my outfield, so I traded OF Stuart Fairchild and RP Emilio Pagan to the Angels for OF Jo Adell. This saved me about 8 million$ I think, and Adell already homered his first game as a Red.

I brought up RP Tony Santillan from AAA.

I also made a trade with Toronto, sending IF Cooper Bowman to the Bluejays for OF Joey Loperfido, who I sent to AAA.

From my AAA team, I brought up IF Santiago Espinal to the Reds.

Re: Reds MLBTS25 dynasty

I like this idea. So how do you bat for both teams? Do you have to pause it and switch every single time the teams switch?

Yeah, you can pause any time and switch teams, there is an option there. I do try to do my best for the other team, that’s what makes it work.

Re: Reds MLBTS25 dynasty

I obviously will not be able to blaze through a bunch of seasons this way. But it is a good way to learn about all the players out there. I might even keep playing this dynasty for years to come if MLB The Show doesn’t bring an expansion mode to franchise. No need to keep buying it every year if they don’t, I stopped playing Diamond Dynasty, so I’m good with the franchise mode.
