Backbreaker Video Review *vs. Madden*

Hey Guys!
Seeing as how both madden and backbreaker pretty much started the AngryJoeShow (back when I made some fan dairies to the madden devs - 2 years ago - wow!).

I thought i'd share my final review on Backbreaker my hopeful alternative to Madden!

Be aware the show is goofy, we do our best to inform while entertaining so dont get your panites in a bunch by taking it too seriously.

Here we compare it to madden and get a few words from Corporate Commander on Backbreaker as well as break down the actual game!

Hope you enjoy it!

P.S. Im pretty sure corporate commander is correct when he said they are renewing the contract already, extending it past 2013. But if you know something I don't, speak up!

Re: Backbreaker Video Review *vs. Madden*

seems like the game was too hard for you....you should have practiced more.....and no, in football you do not keep scanning the field until you find an open man....either your primary reciever is open or you look secondary one or you check it down..... the passing is not that hard, you make it seem like it has never been done before..

the passing is almost exactly like how Madden vision cone was...in Madden you would hold L2 and push a face button, to look at the receiver and then push another button again to throw it.

you should have practiced some more before making your review, because you will just be look at as someone who struggled with the controls....instead of the game's passing controls being "the worst" or whatever.

I remember you Old old, Backbreaker video from years back....too bad you didn't give this game more time before releasing your review 1 day after the release date.

Did Natural Motion send you an early review copy?

Great review, I agree with almost everything you had to say! I was more than happy to put my money towards this game, I'm enjoying the hell out of it, and I REALLY hope they get a chance to create a sequel!

With all its little problems, some worse than others, for a first effort I'm really pleased.

Amazing review. And I loved the comedy, yet true statements. Sent it to some friends

Trust me when I say no one wants to love this game more than me, but yes I also have an obligation to tell the truth. I played this with 4 friends over for days - it was frustrating to watch them do the long bomb tutorial over and over because it wouldnt register. In game they werent able to effectively play - this is certainly not a jump right in game - they shouldnt have to fight the controls just to execute what they wanted to execute. Thats just the truth.

This review was actually 30 minutes not 15min, but obviously i need to cut it down - one of the cuts was yes you do eventually get better at the game but that doesnt mean that it changes things, the fact is the controls arent perfect. Running is fine, its passing that's the issue.

Button config helped my passing a great deal. Other than camera issue, I agree with everything you said.

Yeah, at first passing was tough. You just have to hold the controller straight. I was holding mine at an angle, and that was giving me issues. Now, I am passing bombs and bullets with ease.

I don't know man, I pass just fine....and there are others like me....did you try some of the tips that were in this forum?

when they were struggling to get the long bomb over and over...did you show them how to do it right, or did you not know how to?....did you read in this forum when the demo first released that you move the stick down then back up without letting it go...

"they shouldnt have to fight the controls just to execute what they wanted to execute. Thats just the truth."

you are describing most videogames since existence.....imo, BackBreaker's controls are not that hard....it is the camera that make them seem harder, because of the pressure. At first it is tough, but boy is it fun when you get the hang of it.

but don't get me wrong, it seems that most of reviewers are just not good at the game...and the pressure of releasing a review as quickly as possible can probably channel that frustration towards the game......maybe I should start my own review site.

good work on the other stuff though, seems like yall are having fun creating videos...and pretty good dance moves...lol
