Re: Looking back at All-Pro Football 2K8

forget the season mode, that wasn't all pro's downfall.

it was the game breaking imbalance between players that created team tiers by default. investing stars in lineman was suicide when they could get sucked into slow patty cake animations while legend skill players blew past their generic counterparts.

between that, money routes, and terrible create a player.

had they just patched these, the game would have been great.

If you could combine all the features from Madden 09 thru 25 it would bury this game. Unfortunately with EA it has always been one step forward two back two forward one back. EA can end it but refuse to for some reason. 2K5 was better than any madden I have ever played on the old systems I will admit.

A Great game not without flaws. A full compliment of customizable team slots and updateable rosters would have put it over the top. As it is it is still the best playing and in my opinion the best looking football game yet made.

I'm not sure about the PlayStation 3 version, but on the Xbox 360, you can still play online by doing a matchmaking search or by challenging a friend directly.
