Hey FrogMan, how do I get my squad added to the Rankings? I'm brand new to Hattrick, but my team is not..

You simply have to had your team's name to the officialish list V3.0, maintained by dacman. This is my master list.

Now that I know about your team, I might go on and add it to my rankings anyway. I wanted to adda few teams yesterday night, but hattrick was so unstable that it was almost impossible for me to retrieve the ratings...

dola to say that I've looked at your team and you just got it on March 22nd. While your team has some history behind it, the whole roster was wiped right before they gave you your team. That is the reason why you probably got a crappy roster right now

This also means I can't use the ratings for the previous team in my rankings. Your team will officially enter the rankings after you will have played your first league game, in a week and a half.

Since we got a few new guys added to the FOFC list of Hattrick teams, I thought it could be nice to bump this thread to the top.

I now have 89 teams listed in the FOFC Hattrick Rankings and will start playing with a tiny website to host the rankings, something quite barebones, but that should do the trick.

You don't have anything to do to have your team listed in the rankings, simply list it in dacman's thread, the Officialish FOFC Hattrick Team List v3.0.

We are now a week away from the first regular season game of the new season (season 19) and this is when the next update will happen. Some of you mentionned that we could have a thread to post your weekly game ratings, since the ratings hunt is clearly the most time consuming part of compiling the rankings. I'd certainly appreciate this.

Here's how we'll work it out. On Saturdays, before a league game, I'll start a thread titled "Post your Hattrick game ratings for week 19.xx here". I that thread, you would simply have to copy & paste the rating from your weekly league game (not for friendlies), just as it is on the page from your team name to the "Left Side Attack" rating, no edits or anything (this is important since my spreadsheet sparses to find your ratings and records them with your team name). I'll post instructions and an example next Saturday, when I start that thread. I would then scan through that list and on Monday night would start working on the missing ratings. That would leave you all a full day to help me out and post your rating. The reason for setting that kind of a short deadline is that I'd like to post the rankings by Wednesday on a weekly basis and if I don't want to wait too long before I start hunting for ratings...

We'll see how it goes on week 1 and we'll adjust accordingly.

Monday night doesn't seem too short of a deadline. It gives enough time for folks who does their 'Tricking at work to do their posting. And, thanks again for your work.

I have set a little webpage for the rankings, here's the adress:

You can go ahead and bookmark that adress as this should remain the front page for the rankings in the future. For now, it looks a little bit redundant that the text in the green frame at the top reads almost the same as the title of the report, it's because eventually, this frame will be used to put some links to past rankings, to some outside links about Hattrick, that kind of stuff...

I've added a few columns to the previous rankings report. There's is now a column titled "exper" next to the FOFC member name. "exper" stands for "experience to me. This column is simply an approximation of how many weeks your team has been around. Calculated by taking the date of the day minus the date you got your team and divide the result by 7. It's not a precise numberby no means, but it gives an idea of how long a certain team has been around. Good mentions go to vexroid for breaking the top 10 in 13 weeks and Nylarlahotep for being in the top 20 in only 6 weeks...

Other columns added are the last two columns at tghe extreme right of the report. They represent the given team's best week, not the best moving average but the single game's best rating, and the number of the week in which it happened. For example, take my team, the Pintendre Pittbulls. Our best game was rating of 42 and it happened in week 18.11.

Also, the "Printer Friendly version" sends you to the PDF version of the version, that currently prints on a two pages long, one page wide report. Not the best of printouts, but much, much better than trying to print the html version...

One another note, I will start the thread for you to post your game ratings in a few minutes, with instructions. If you wanna help me, go to that thread and post your game ratings once your game is over. Thanks in advance.

Great work on the site, i really like the new 'exper' ranking also.....we now have 91 teams on that list, thats a lot.

Heh. In the 3 weeks of the ratings, my team has dropped 2 spots [week 1 to week 2] and 1 spot [week 2 to week 3]. We sure is a-movin' in the right direction!

I was curious if this ranking system is going to bring up BCS type issues

As it is lytic (South Park Cows) and I (Gargoyles) played against each other in week 14 last year. I won the match but fell below him in the rankings. Hmmmm . . . .

I suppose that Colorado is closer to Cornhusker territory than Chicago is . . . but the BCS can't be wrong, can it?

As you may have figured out this is all in jest. I would not and could not ask Frogman to do anymore than he already has. It is a wonderful system. If it were to be used for the top 2 teams to go to a championship bowl, then I'd be miffed. The Cows and I will just have to fight it out again this week.
