Great Falls at Troy State

Previously winless Troy State takes us to the woodshed for a 31-3 beating. I don't have much to say about this mess.

Final Score: Troy State 31, Great Falls 3

Michigan at Northwestern (QB Rob Nielsen)

This was a huge matchup between #11 Michigan and #20 Northwestern. Both teams had been undefeated to this point. Despite their win over Ohio State, some pundits still doubted Nothwestern. They were determined to prove them wrong and raced off to a 9-0 first half lead, completely dominating time of possession. Unfortunately, their inability to get in the end zone hurt them. Michigan scored twice on long range plays in the 2nd half, a 50 yard pass and 42 yard run, and that was all they needed to steal the victory from Northwestern. Once again, Nielsen was stopped on the run but he was unable to put together a good passing performance to make up for it.

Final Score: Michigan 14, Northwestern 9
QB Rob Nielsen 12-25 for 145 yards, 0 TD, 2 INT, 9 carries-2 yards

Virginia Tech (QB Danny Wilson) at Syracuse

QB Danny Wilson opened the scoring with a 49 yard TD pass in the 1st quarter and Virginia Tech never looked back. Despite getting sacked 5 times from a strong Syracuse pass Rush, Wilson managed 372 yards and a TD. Syracuse scored 17 pts in the 4th to make the score look closer than it actually was.

Final Score: Virginia Tech 27, Syracuse 17
QB Danny Wilson 17-25 for 373 yards, 1 TD

Texas (S Travis Elkin) at Iowa State

Texas played a little sloppy again, and Iowa State managed to tie the score at 14 early in the 2nd quarter. Texas got it together behind the running performance of Albert Strand (239 yards, 4 TD's) and outscored Iowa State 28-3 the rest of the way. S Travis Elkin had one of his worst games, getting beat 4 times on the day.

Final Score: Texas 42, Iowa State 17

Texas A&M (RB John Ravenhawk) at Colorado

Texas A&M obviously has no confidence left after humiliating back to back losses against Oklahoma State and Baylor. Colorado easily raced off to a 31-0 lead before the Aggies got on the board late in the 2nd half. A&M was held to -19 total yards rushing.

Final Score: Colorado 45, Texas A&M 23
RB John Ravenhawk 3 carries-13 yards, 1 catch-2 yards

USC (QB Colton Mayes) at Oregon State

QB Colton Mayes shows that while he does have a ton of talent, he still as quite a bit to learn. Both offenses show weakness in the beginning and it is only 7-7 when the 4th quarter starts. USC has no problem moving the ball, but missed FG's and two INT's stall their progress. Oregon State takes a 21-14 lead late in the 4th quarter (partly thanks to another Mayes INT), but USC ties it with 1 minute left to send it into OT. 1st OT, both teams score TD's. 2nd OT, USC misses a FG, but OSU misses their own FG attempt. 3rd OT, OSU turns it over on downs, but Mayes throws yet another INT. 4th OT, Mayes runs a draw up the middle ofr a 23 yard TD! OSU is unable to score and USC walks away with a wild win.

Final Score: USC 34, Oregon State 28
QB Colton Mayes 36-62 for 425 yards, 3 TD, 5 INT, 1 TD run

Michigan State (DE Gold Golden, T Jeff Nights) at Illinois

Michigan State's offense plays better than it has all year and takes a 27-20 lead in the half. Unfortunately, they can only manage 92 total yards in the 2nd half. Then with the score tied at 27, a costly fumble gives Illinois field position inside the red zone and they convert it for another TD. A desperation drive comes up sdhort and Michigan State suffers another painful loss.

Final Score: Illinois 34, Michigan State 27
DE Gold Golden 2 Tackles, 1 Assist, .5 Sacks, 1 TFL
T Jeff Nights 3-9 Run Blocks, 0 Sacks Allowed

Missouri (ILB James Clark) at Baylor (CB Al Mighty)

Missouri and Baylor have both surprised me this season. This was a crucial game for both teams as the winner might actually have a shot at a bowl game. It was a defensive sluigfest in the first half. Missouri was led by James Clark on defense and he had his best game yet. But after taking a 10-7 lead on a kickoff return in the 3rd quarter, everything fell apart. Baylor scored 24 unanswered points to win the game. CB Al Mighty had a great game and helped hold Missouri to 80 total passing yards.

Final Score: Baylor 31, Missouri 10
CB Al Mighty 3 Tackles, 1 Assist, 1 INT, 1 Pass Defensed
ILB James Clark 7 Tackles, 1 Assist, 1 INT, 1 Pass Defensed

Oklahoma State (CB Vex Roid) at Kansas State

Kansas State has had a terrible season so far, but they came through today with a dominating performance. Oklahoma State kept it as close as 7 midway through the 3rd quarter, but Kansas State pulled away for the victory.

Final Score: Kansas State 35, Oklahoma State 21
CB Vex Roid 2 Tackles, 3 Assists, 2 Passes Defensed

Arizona at UCLA (QB Daniel Ertmann, RB Rob Hillier)

Great performances from Daniel Ertmann and Rob Hillier lead UCLA to it's 4th straight victory. Ertmann threw 2 TD passes in the 1st quarter and Hillier added a TD in the 2nd as UCLA raced off to a 24-0 halftime lead. Ertmann and Hillier continued to shine in the 2nd half and brought home 24 more points for UCLA. UCLA's defense held Arizona to a pathetic 4 first downs.

Final Score: UCLA 48, Arizona 0
QB Daniel Ertmann 19-33 for 260 yards, 4 TD, 1 INT
RB Rob Hillier 22 carries-124 yards, 1 TD, 6 catches-85 yards

California (ILB David Gonzalez) at Arizona State

California's defense shined again. Behind David Gonzalez's 7 Tackles and 2 Assists, they held ASU to 281 total yards. California held a 13-10 lead with 27 seconds left as ASU moved into California territory. However, CB Cornelius Nafis picked off a pass and returned it 78 yards to close out the game.

Final Score: California 20, Arizona State 10
ILB David Gonzalez 7 Tackles, 2 Assists, 1 Pass Defensed

TCU (TE JeeberD Mack) at East Carolina

Looked like it might be an easy one for TCU as they raced off to a 21-0 1st quarter lead. However, their offense stalled and East Carolina slowly chipped away at the lead, eventually tying it early int he 4th quarter. The teams then traded scored until TCU hit a FG with no time left to win the game.

Final Score: TCU 31, East Carolina 28
TE JeeberD Mack 2 catches-16 yards

Boise State (RB Jesse Ewiak) at Tulsa

Pretty easy win for Boise State, pushing their record back up to .500 . RB Jesse Ewiak did not get many carries but was able to catch 5 passes out of the backfield and scored a TD on one of them. Only 10,800 tulsa fans came out to see this one.

Final Score: Boise State 34, Tulsa 8
RB Jesse Ewiak 2 carries-5 yards, 5 catches-49 yards, 1 TD

Nevada at Hawaii (S Kevin Heath)

In a wild game, Hawaii takes home a much needed victory in triple OT. S Kevin Heath has another one of those games, where he makes 12 Tackles, something he hasn't done in a while. However, his pass defense was a little weak as he allowed 4 passes to be caught against him. The teams traded FG's and then TD's int he first two OT's. Then Hawaii scored on a 7 yard TD pass, and Nevada was unable to respond.

Final Score: Hawaii 32, Nevada 24
S Kevin Heath 12 Tackles, 3 Assists, 1 TFL

FSU 18, Georgia Tech 15
Nebraska 31, Texas Tech 24
Miami 58, Temple 7
Iowa 47, Indiana 7
Boston College 42, West Virginia 14

Offensive Player of the Week: RB Rob Hillier 22 carries-124 yards, 1 TD, 6 catches-85 yards
Defensive Player of the Week: ILB James Clark 7 Tackles, 1 Assist, 1 INT, 1 Pass Defensed

WR MIJB Nineteen has now received four scholarship offers from the following teams: Auburn, FSU, Pittsburgh, and USC.

Week 10

Rocky Mountain at Great Falls

This is one we let get away from us. With a 24-17 4th quarter lead, we allow 10 pts in a span of 2:30, the TD coming on an INT return. We also had a fumble returned for a TD.

Final Score: Rocky Mountain 27, Great Falls 24

Minnesota at Michigan State (T Jeff Nights, DE Gold Golden)

It started to look like Michigan State would go winless this season, but they put that notion to rest with a great first half that put them ahead 24-0. Minnesota could do very little to close that gap as the Spartans Defense, led by DE Gold Golden, held Minnesota to 156 total yards for the game. T Jeff Nights led a Spartans rushing attack to 178 yards. In fact, he played so well that he was named the game MVP.

Final Score: Michigan State 38, Minnesota 13
T Jeff Nights 5-13 run blocks, 0 Sacks Allowed
DE Gold Golden 7 Tackles, 1.5 Sacks, 1 Hurry, 4 TFL

Northwestern (QB Rob Nielsen) at Wisconsin

Wisconsin held Northwestern's running game in check and QB Rob Nielsen was once again frustrated in the passing game. This bad combination led to a 21-0 1st quarter deficit. Northwestern worked to overcome that behind Nielsen's gutsy performance (two rushing TD's) but they never gave Wisconsin a scare.

Final Score: Wisconsin 40, Northwestern 29
QB Rob Nielsen 14-29 for 213 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, 8 carries-35 yards, 2 TD

Missouri (ILB James Clark) at Kansas State

A lethargic Missouri team watched KSU score 3 TD's in the first 9 minutes and cruise to an easy victory. James Clark was injured early and will be out for approximately 4 weeks, which may signal the end of the season for him. Hideous Stat of the game: Missouri QB Dale Brady had only 6 completions in 32 attempts for 52 yards, 0 TD, and 5 INT. Surely Ardent can do better than that.

Final Score: Kansas State 35, Missouri 0

Oklahoma at Texas A&M (RB John Ravenhawk)

Both offenses were one dimensional in this one. The teams combined for 788 yards passing but only 51 yards rushing. The difference was time of possession and Oklahoma controlled it for 37:02, wearing out A&M's defense in the 2nd half. Ravenhawk only saw limited action in this one.

Final Score: Oklahoma 40, Texas A&M 23
RB John Ravenhawk 1 catch-4 yards

Texas Tech at Texas (S Travis Elkin)

Texas outgained Tech 491 to 207 amd cruised after a sluggish 1st quarter in which they only led 7-3. Elkin had 7 tackles and 2 assists and RB Albert Strand led the offense with 189 yards and 2 TD's.

Final Score: Texas 42, Texas Tech 3
S Travis Elkin 7 Tackles, 2 Assists

Baylor (CB Al Mighty) at Oklahoma State (CB Vex Roid)

In a battle of FOFC cornerbacks, neither of the teams played particularly well. What decided the game was turnovers. Baylor QB Alan Cook threw 3 INT's (one caught by Vex Roid) and Oklahoma State managed to get through the game without one turnover. This helped Oklahoma State to a 17-3 halftime lead and they held off Baylor in the 2nd half for victory.

Final Score: Oklahoma State 17, Baylor 10
CB Vex Roid 3 Tackles, 1 Assist, 1 INT, 1 TFL
CB Al Mighty 4 Tackles, 3 Passes Defensed

Washington (ILB Clint Eastwood) at California (ILB David Gonzalez)

In a battle of FOFC linebackers, both defenses came up strong and the score was only 3-3 at the start of the 4th quarter. It was Eastwood's day as he continued to hold California in check while Washington was able to put two TD's on the board in the 4th quarter. California could only manage a TD with 40 seconds left. Onside kick was recovered by Washington.

Final Score: Washington 17, California 10
ILB Clint Eastwood 13 Tackles, 2 Assists, 3 TFL
ILB David Gonzalez 5 Tackles, 4 Assists

Arizona State at USC (QB Colton Mayes)

Despite some accuracy issues, Mayes had a great game and led USC to an easy route of their conference rivals. Behind Mayes 401 yard performance, USC scored 14 pts in each of the 4 quarters and ASU could only manage a FG.

Final Score: USC 56, Arizona State 3
QB Colton Mayes 23-43 for 401 yards, 4 TD, 1 INT, 2 carries-20 yards

Memphis at TCU (TE JeeberD Mack)

Memphis slowly built a 24-7 lead through the first 35 minutes of the game and TCU simply didn't wake up in time to catch them. A 4th quarter comeback brought them within 7, but Memphis answered and made it a two possession game again. TCU could not score again. TE JeeberD Mack did not get any receptions this week, but did have 2 Run Blocks.

Final Score: Memphis 31, TCU 17

Hawaii (S Kevin Heath) at SMU

Hawaii jumped out to a 14-0 lead int he first 7 minutes and added a FG in the 2nd quarter to make it 17-0 at the half. This is all the scoring they would do, but it proved tp be enough as the Hawaii defense, led by another great Kevin Heath performance, held SMU's comeback to only 13 pts. Now if Hawaii wins out, they may have a possible bowl shot.

Final Score: Hawaii 17, SMU 13
S Kevin Heath

Nevada at Boise State (RB Jesse Ewiak)

Both offenses put up impressive numbers in this game, each going for over 400 total yards. The real difference in the game was 3rd down conversions. Boise State could only convert one 3rd down out of 10 chances and that stopped many of their drives. Boise State finally made some big plays int he 4th quarter but it was too late for a comeback.

Final Score: Nevada 41, Boise State 24
RB Jesse Ewiak 4 carries-24 yards, 2 catches-15 yards

Rutgers 41, Boston College 27
FSU 45, Florida 17
Purdue 38, Iowa 28
Ohio State 31, Indiana 20
Iowa State 19, Nebraska 7
South Florida 34, East Carolina 0

Offensive Player of the Week: T Jeff Nights 5-13 run blocks, 0 Sacks Allowed
Defensive Player of the Week: ILB Clint Eastwood 13 Tackles, 2 Assists, 3 TFL

WR MIJB Nineteen is now deciding between FSU, Pittsburgh, and USC

Here's the latest BCS rankings. As you can see, we have several FOFC teams in the hunt for the national title. The real surprises so far are Missouri at 5-4 and Baylor at 4-4. They've played way above what I had expected. Texas A&M at 4-5 has to be a disappointment.

I guess my "want a winner" rating is very high, picking between FSU (7-1), USC (7-1) and Pittsburgh (6-3) should be tough.

Week 11

Great Falls at New Mexico State

Our offense actually played decently, with Gerhardt throwing for 223 yards and 2 TD's. Unfortunately we were only 3 for 12 on 3rd downs and that's not good enough. We lose again.

Final Score: New Mexico State 27, Great Falls 20

Colorado at Texas (S Travis Elkin)

Texas takes another step toward the national championship game. Leroy Lockhart threw for 334 yards and 3 TD's as Texas built a 28-10 lead through the 1st 3 quarters. Colorado came storming back and cut the lead to 28-26, but Amos Hawkins came up with an INT to kill Colorado's last drive. Elkin had a decent game with 7 tackles but was beat on 3 passing plays.

Final Score: Texas 28, Colorado 26
S Travis Elkin 7 Tackles, 2 Assists, 1 Pass Defensed, 1 TFL

Miami at Virginia Tech (QB Danny Wilson)

The biggest game of the season. Both were undefeated at this point. The winner pretty much clinches the conference title and a potential championship berth, and the loser will have to wait until next year. It was a defensive struggle, but Wilson provided enough offense for Virginia Tech to carry a 10-6 halftime lead. In the 2nd half, the Hokies ran a ball control offense that wore the Miami defense down. In the 4th quarter, they added 10 points to put the game away.

Final Score: Virginia Tech 20, Miami 6
Danny Wilson 18-26 for 208 yards, 1 TD, 5 carries-28 yards

USC (QB Colton Mayes) at California (ILB David Gonzalez)

73,800 California fans had their team riled up int he 1st quarter. It started with a 62 yard TD run in the 1st minute of the game. California added two more TD's (one on an INT return) and a FG. All in the 1st quarter. Cal's defense, led by David Gonzalez, completely shut down USC. Colton Mayes finally got thigns together with a 44 yard TD pass bringing hte score to 24-7. Mayes added another TD pass late in the 3rd to make it 27-17 entering the 4th quarter. However, the offense stalls with two turnovers in the 4th quarter and California runs away with a huge upset.

Final Score: California 44, USC 20
QB Colton Mayes 17-37 for 312 yards, 2 TD, 3 INT
ILB David Gonzalez 8 Tackles, 2 Assists, 1 Pass Defensed, 3 TFL, 1 Hurry

Rice at Hawaii (S Kevin Heath)

A defensive struggle in the first half ended with a 10-3 lead for Hawaii. Unfortunately, Hawaii decided not to show up for the 2nd half. Despite another strong game from Kevin Heath, Rice outscored Hawaii 37-7 in the 2nd half for the victory.

Final Score: Rice 37, Hawaii 17
S Kevin Heath 6 Tackles, 3 Assists, 1 TFL

Baylor (CB Al Mighty) at Nebraska

It's been a rough season in Lincoln, but they certainly wouldn't lose to Baylor, would they? After taking a 14-0 lead, Baylor storms back to tie it at the half. Nebraska goes ahead int he 3rd quarter on a TD run. However, only one team shows up for the 4th quarter and it was not Nebraska. Baylor puts up 20 pts int he 4th quarter for the stunning upset. A major factor was the 5 INT's thrown by Nebraska's QB, and Al Mighty had one of them.

Final Score: Baylor 34, Nebraska 21
CB Al Mighty 1 Tackle, 2 Assists, 1 INT

Michigan at Michigan State (T Jeff Nights, DE Gold Golden)

Michigan was in control of this one from beginning to end, although the Spartans defense kept it close. It was only 9-3 at the half, and Michigan didn't have a comfortable lead until scoring a TD in the 4th quarter. T Jeff Nights had a terrible game, allowing 3 of the 4 sacks the Spartans gave up, but DE Gold Golden had a great game, constantly putting pressure on Michigan's QB.

Final Score: Michigan 17, Michigan State 10
T Jeff Nights 2-5 Run Blocks, 3 Sacks Allowed
DE Gold Golden 4 Tackles, 1 Assist, 1 Sack, 4 Hurries, 1 TFL

Northwestern (QB Rob Nielsen) at Indiana

Northwestern took an early lead, and held it throughout most of the game. Rob Nielsen wasn't able to run much, but did have one of his best passing performances. In the 4th quarter, they hit a FG to go up 16-0. Indiana responded with a kickoff return and converted the 2 point try. Then with 6 seconds left, Indiana tied it on a 4 yard TD pass and 2 point conversion to send it into OT. Northwestern hit a FG in their OT, but Indiana scored a TD to send Northwestern to their 3rd straight loss.

Final Score: Indiana 22, Northwestern 19
QB Rob Nielsen 25-31 for 293 yards, 13 carries-12 yards, 1 TD

Kansas at Oklahoma State (CB Vex Roid)

No defense showed up for this game. The two teams combined for 857 total yards and 76 points. Kansas led the entire game and held a 35-17 lead int he 4th quarter. Oklahoma State cut it to 8 points, but they could not get any closer.

Final Score: Kansas 42, Oklahoma State 34
CB Vex Roid 2 Tackles, 1 TFL

UCLA (QB Daniel Ertmann, RB Rob Hillier) at Arizona State

No contest here. Arizona State could not stop Rob Hillier as he scored three 1st half TD's and 4 overall in the game. Daniel Ertmann didn't have a great game, but it was good enough for the win.

Final Score: UCLA 45, Arizona State 10
RB Rob Hillier 27 carries-124 yards, 4 TD, 4 catches-26 yards
QB Daniel Ertmann 16-24 for 242 yards, 1 TD, 2 INT

Washington (ILB Clint Eastwood) at Oregon

Washington builds up a 21-7 lead in the 4th quarter and is able to hold off the Oregon comeback for the victory. Washington outgained Oregon 369-199 and the offense was an impressive 11 of 19 on 3rd downs.

Final Score: Washington 21, Oregon 14
ILB Clint Eastwood 3 Tackles, 1 Assist

TCU (TE JeeberD Mack) at Army

Army did a ghood job of making this a close one. A 40 yard TD run in the 3rd quarter had them down only 21-17. Unfortunately, they did not show up for the 4th quarter and TCU scored 3 TD's to run away with the game. Jeeber had the best game of his career with a 4 catch, 56 yard performance.

Final Score: TCU 48, Army 17
TE JeeberD Mack 4 catches-56 yards

Boise State (RB Jesse Ewiak) at SMU

SMU actually outplayed Boise State for most of this game, but it was mental mistakes that doomed SMU. 3 Turnovers and 13 penalties killed many of their drives, while Boise State efficiently moved down the field and capitalized on SMU's mistakes. It was 15-3 at the half, and SMU never got closer than that the rest of the way.

Final Score: Boise State 35, SMU 10
RB Jesse Ewiak 8 carries-30 yards, 2 catches-26 yards

Tulane 23, South Florida 17
Iowa 42, Minnesota 13
Syracuse 38, Rutgers 13
Boston College 23, Temple 14

Offensive Player of the Week: RB Rob Hillier 27 carries-124 yards, 4 TD, 4 catches-26 yards
Defensive Player of the Week: ILB David Gonzalez 8 Tackles, 2 Assists, 1 Pass Defensed, 3 TFL, 1 Hurry

Is it possible to still sign up to be in it at some point?

If so, how do I sign up and what info do you need?

Thanks!

I'm sure you know this, but please make sure you backup your universe files so you don't have to start over in case it resets the game files.

Very bad news. I was trying to zip up my universe folder to back it up, and the league file seems to be corrupted. If so, this really pisses me off. I spent alot of time on this and to not be able to see it through is really annoying.

Larry, not sure if this is the same error 23 or a different one, but this link could help, even if this dynasty is dead.

Thanks for the link! It did help my elicense problem.

When I tried to load the dynasty, it says "Unable to load staff information file. Saved Game is corrupted." I'm assuming nothing can be done about this.
