The Rams had about a million ways they could have won the game versus Seattle today, but kept shooting themselves in the foot.

Geez as a Broncos fan, I can't believe I am typing this but the Andy Reid coached Chiefs look scary good this year.

I just did. Had a 14 point lead with 3 minutes to go in that game. The worst part is I wasn't even surprised. It just felt like destiny and the Chiefs not really guarding him on a few of those plays was weird.

How much money would Dolphins fans give to a kickstarter that paid Cutler to take a knee during the anthem next Sunday?

Absolutely ridiculous coaching. Got the ball in the red zone and had to kick a FG because his QB couldn't drop back without falling over.

As "great" as an idea as Rules/Replay Analyst might sound to a production team, at some point you should've realized that you're literally just bringing an old man on to your broadcast to talk about the penalties. This is not a good idea.

Refs have entirely too much control in the NFL right now. Any offensive penalty usually results in a punt. At some point they need to either fix penalty yardage or become more clear on how they want to call penalties.

This crew calls a flag every other play it seems.

Its a major annoyance of mine the control the refs have in the NFL. The college game is fine because good offenses dont seem to struggle as much overcoming the 1st and 20s.

Second half light years better than the first at least. As a fan of one of the teams I was not looking forward to this game for the rest of America to watch.

This is true, and this Boger crew is particularly bad.

This crew has called 16 penalties and at least 6-7 shouldn't have been called at all. That completely changes the dynamics of the game.

The general quality of play and officiating also makes me question Thursday and London games by extension. Nobody likes that shit and the quality of play & officiating only gets worse, especially during those games, but likely even in the weeks preceding/following, for the teams involved.

16 accepted. Another half dozen or so declined. It ruins the game.

Right! The Thursday games and London games are a pure shitfest. If you play Sunday, you basically get zero hard practices if you play Thursday. Monday rest, Tuesday easy, Wednesday the day before the game.

The London games just screws everything. Practice, travel, time...

Getting closer and closer to the WWE/NBA each season Rog is running it.

I don't remotely agree that penalties are killing offense, because it feels like there are still more bullshit drive extending penalties on the defense (who on earth told the refs to start calling more holding penalties on the defense on runs this year?) but totally agreed there are way too many flags, and it's been going this way for years. I have absolutely no idea why the NFL thinks fans want to see a 30 second break in the action every two plays but apparently they do.

Seems strange to complain about the London games which at most affects four teams a year but not east coast teams playing on the west coast or vice versa. Yes it's another two hour difference and maybe an hour in the air, is that really killing the game? We've had cross coast games since the NFL was a thing.

To my untrained eye it's a combination of terrible o-line play and great athletes on the defense taking advantage of it

The NFL right now reminds me of the tail end of the "NBA action is faaaantastic!" era, which was great for it's first couple years but very quickly devolved into superstar status and refs dictating wins almost as much as players and coaches. The league's rabid devotion towards expanding into any and every untouched nook & cranny purposely diluted the product, which drove away a good portion of their core fans, and a product that used to be sold on tradition and nostalgia was instead marketed with bombast and whatever was popular at the time.
