One other that would be a cool "I was there" game, 12/31/88, Lemiuex scores 5 goals/5 ways vs the Devils.

The 5 goals / 5 ways is another good one, except I was at that game.

As a Pittsburgher, Game 7 of the 1960 World Series. I bet if I asked my dad, he might pick that one.

Jesse Owens kicking Hitler's ass would have been awesome.

USA/USSR would have been an electric thing to witness (though it loses some impact knowing that the two countries are at peace now, but it was still HUGE when it happened).

Kirk Gibson beating the A's in 1988. This is my earliest sporting memory. I was 9 years old and my dad & I were watching it waaaaay past my bedtime on our little black & white TV in the basement. Ahhh, memories.

2003 National Championship, Ohio State over "The U" in double overtime.

Best one I attended:

2007 Wright State defeats nationally-ranked Butler in the Horizon League Championship. That was the best night in the 12+ years I've been watching WSU basketball and it's hard to believe that it actually happened...and I was there.

I don't know if it would be as good if I knew the outcome before the game???

It would have been great to be there not knowing.

Yeah that's what I was trying to say. Knowing the outcome now but somehow while watching it again live you have no recollection of what is going to happen.

What milestone homer did Gibson hit in 1989?

Georgia Tech v Cumberland. See how many takers I could find by giving them Cumberland +221.

Willis Reed hobbling onto the court, hitting a jumper and watching the Lakers meltdown.

Lawrence Taylor blitzing through a bunch of over-praised Foreskin lineman to snap Joe Thiesman's leg.

1987 Islanders Caps game seven goes four OTs.
