I am a big fan of Mississippi, not that anybody cares. I would rather live there than anywhere in the Pacific Time Zone, for example.

There's a Rangal-D on every block. Hating everybody else not from their own block. Sheesh, I'm offended and I only "lived in" California.

Do you not see the disconnect here?

Having spent a good portion of my life in California and being married to a girl from Los Angeles, I'd say it was just me joking around. Lighten up, sheesh....liberals.

Although a New Yawker by birth, I spent a few years living in Tuscaloosa, AL, not too far from the Mississippi border. I liked it, too. The people were nice, the cost of living was reasonable, and the place had a very distinctive feel. The tornadoes were nasty, but all in all, it was good. I could've lived there happily forever after, but work took me elsewhere.

Actually, I love Charleston and Savannah. Those are two of the best coastal cities in the world.

I grew up mostly in Columbus, Mississippi--down the road from Tuscaloosa. We spent a good bit of our childhood dreaming of playing football for Mississippi State and beating the Crimson Tide. The Bulldogs are apparently still waiting for us.
