Another week is wrapping up in Diamond Dynasty. This week went by in standard fashion, and we got the Heavenly Hands pack on Friday. With that in mind, it's time to look ahead once again and try to predict who might be getting a ratings boost on Monday morning.
I'll be breaking the predictions into tiers based on my own confidence level.
Ratings Boost Probability: High
-Yoenis Cespedes - Cespedes was just upgraded on 8/31, but I mean how can I leave him off the list? He has nearly half his home runs the last month (15), and he's hitting everything in sight.
-J.A. Happ - This continues to be not a drill. Happ has an ERA of 1.00 the last month to go along with a strikeout per inning. He's literally been the best starting pitcher acquired at the trade deadline.
Ratings Boost Probability: Medium
-Nolan Arenado - Arenado has cooled down a bit the last week, but he still has 10 home runs the last month and still has an OPS of .900 on the season. He's a star.
-Mookie Betts - I'm throwing Betts on here because he's been hot the last month, but more than that, he's become a bona-fide stud just like Arenado. He's a no-doubt quality starting outfielder who has an OPS over .800 on the season.
-Kyle Seager - Perhaps he's been feeling the heat from little bro Corey Seager making his debut, but Kyle Seager has picked things up the last month. He's got eight home runs to go with a .320 average, and he's still playing solid defense at third base.
Ratings Boost Probability: Low
-Madison Bumgarner - I've included Bumgarner multiple times throughout the season, and he's never been boosted when I've done it, but maybe this will be the time. He's had another unreal month that includes well over a strikeout an inning.
-Mark Canha - Canha is a rookie who has had an uneven campaign, but he's getting hot down the stretch. The power is showing up now, so while the numbers on the year are not that impressive, he's at least pushing to make his rookie season look more than just respectable.
-David Ortiz - I mean come on, he hit home run number 500 just last night, why not include him? It also doesn't hurt that he's hit nine home runs this month and is hitting well over .350 during that time as well.
