OS Roundtable: Which NFL Team are you most excited about playing with in Madden NFL 12 Post-Draft?

Which NFL Team are you most excited about playing with in Madden NFL 12 Post-Draft?

Dustin Toms - Tennessee Titans. This may be a homer pick, but I am more excited to play as the Titans than any other team in Madden 12. With the riskiest move in the NFL Draft, Tennessee took Jake Locker eighth overall. In Madden, Locker will have a terrible accuracy rating, but it'll be like having cover boy Peyton Hillis taking every snap. Plus with new linebackers in Akeem Ayers and Colin McCarthy, the defense could have a new look.

It's officially a fresh start in the Music City.

Steve Bartlett - Arizona Cardinals. Larry Fitz is one those players that cannot be stopped in Madden, no matter what the coverage and no matter who's throwing the ball to him. Adding Ryan Williams, a running back from Virginia Tech, to go with the power game of Beanie Wells will make the Cardinal red my team of choice. I loved the run game philosophy in Madden 11, and I will take full advantage of this tandem in Madden 12.

Number five overall pick Patrick Peterson's 4.34 speed and coverage skills should equate to him being a shutdown corner against any matchup in the league -- Andre Johnson, Julio Jones, Dez Bryant or anybody else.

Christian McLeod - Detroit Lions. Like Dustin, I'm going to be a "homer" here and say the Detroit Lions.

As someone that exclusively uses defensive tackles on defense, I can't wait to get my hands on Nick Fairley in addition to Madden 11 favorite Ndamukong Suh. Add a speedy Titus Young to the slot to complement Megatron and Nate Burleson, as well as a healthy Matthew Stafford/Jhavid Best, and you've got a pretty potent offense. As someone who struggles mightily to actually play with the Lions on a yearly in Madden, I haven't been this excited to see my home-team squad in video game format since the days of Mel Gray and Barry Sanders in Tecmo Super Bowl.

Jayson Young - Cleveland Browns. Hey Dustin, the Titans have had an inaccurate, scrambling quarterback for the last five years, so I don't see how Jake Locker changes anything for the Titans aside from having a different name written on their #10 jersey.

Steve, Arizona's defense and special teams definitely got a lot better with the addition of Patrick Peterson, but I can't see anyone using the Cardinals until they have a reliable quarterback, and a receiver who can take some of the attention away from Larry Fitzgerald.

Christian stole my pick with the Detroit Lions, so I'll take the Cleveland Browns, another up-and-coming Rust Belt team.

Defensive linemen Phil Taylor and Jamaal Sheard should replace troubled nose tackle, Shaun Rogers, and 6-foot-3 220-pound WR Greg Little gives QB Colt McCoy the downfield threat that Cleveland has lacked since the Braylon Edwards trade.

Cover athlete Peyton Hillis should have his ratings just as jacked as his biceps, and custom playbooks should make Cleveland a force from the Full House formation, with fullbacks Lawrence Vickers and Owen Marecic creating holes for Hilils.

Fans of the power running game should keep a close eye on Cleveland in Madden NFL 12.

Chris Sanner - Atlanta Falcons. Call me the flavor of the month or a potential cheeser, but Matt Ryan plus an almost certainly Madden-juiced Julio Jones will make for an unbelievable combo. Give Jones a few years to develop in franchise mode, and you have a combo of Montana/Rice-esque proportions. In an offense that already featured Michael Turner and Tony Gonzalez, I can't help but feel all giddy. Maybe that's what Matt Ryan feels every morning now -- someone should ask him.

Denver only. I should get a few sacks with the Dumervil/Von Miller combo

I always play with my bengals offline now online i try and play with all the teams and keep them in a good rotation so it is harder to scout me.

Being a fan of both the Bucs and Bronco's, I'd have to say Bucs. Should be a better team this year (always tanked in Franchise mode when I didn't play with them), and this year's draft has made their defense nasty. Their DL alone should be killer and I'll be having some fun with Black roaming the outfield.

Plus the Freeman - Williams tandem should be pretty good too.

Giants man, added Prince and some speeders on offense in the draft!

Baltimore Ravens all the way. I will have Jimmy defending one side of the field and Foxworth / Wilson defending the other with Ed hawking anything up the middle. When Cody starts to play solid in real life, his ratings will move up and I will have him and Ngata demanding double teams allowing my other players, preferably Suggs left one-on-one and possibly even a free shot at the QB with some blitzing.

No mention of Roddy White when talking about the Falcons? Seriously? White and Jones will be an unstoppable duo! Can't wait to play the game! Go Falcons!

The Oakland Raiders! Even with Nnamdi most likely leaving, Van **** ad Chekwa will get me lots of picks! Taiwan Jones will complement McFadden and Bush, Jacoby Ford will destroy on kick returns. With hopefully the Free Agents acquisitions of Holmes, Ochocinco or Steve Smith (CAR, NYG), they will be the best team.

After much thought I will run with 4 teams

AFC

Dolphins - I will try to find that stud QB in the first draft or try to make a trade for a QB. I will rebuild this teams OL as well.

Ravens - I love the running game in Madden (my favorite thing to do) and having a kid like Ray Rice will be fun. Also with Boldin and some young rookie WR's I will enjoy trying to expand Flaccos passing game. On defense I will attempt to rebuild this aging unit. Should be a lot of fun

NFC

Giants - 3 years in a row I will take on the G-men. I just really like playing with Eli, Bradshaw, Nicks, Manningham and company. Plus I love playing in the always tough AFC East.

49ers - I have always wanted to play in the Bay Area and this team is very intriguing. Lets see if the kid they drafted at QB is the real deal and can Alex Smith hang on and show something? Frank Gore is on his last year or 2 so finding a young explosive back will be a priority in my first off-season. I would love to see the trio of Crabtree, Davis and Morgan blossom.

So those are my teams.....but I love the fact we can change teams now in the new and improved Franchise mode!!!!

It is going to be a truly great year (and for me a few years with these new titles) for EA football titles.

I'm going to run counter to what the Jags will do IRL and try and trade Garrard for a draft pick to start Sunshine off as a rookie.

I'm looking forward to creating the team I grew up watching on the South Side -- the Chicago Cardinals. It's a return to glory, baby!

Always play one franchise with my Broncos and then another franchise with a random young team. The past few years I've done the Lions & the Browns. This year the Bucs & Chiefs intrigue me, but I can't use the Chiefs because that would be blasphemy. So I might run a chise with the Bucs. Or maybe the Lions again. Both are going to have awesome defensive lines that will be fun to build around.

In my Bronco franchise, I can't wait to throw out a defensive line of Doom, Robert Ayers, Marcus Thomas & Von Miller on 3rd down. That is an athletic and quick bunch right there. With Rahim Moore roaming centerfield and Champ locking down his side, I'm expecting to get some turnovers on 3rd down either through interceptions or through my defensive line creaming the QB

The Skins. It's been a few years since Washington has been in a 'rebuilding' stage. They've always had place holder type players. The way the front office is going young and trying to rebuild is exciting. Lots of young talent. Excited to do the draft and get a good QB.

Although maybe I'll bring in VY or someone else to compete with Beck/Grossman (ugh - typing that combo of QBs makes me sick in my stomach).

Still pumped though
