How To Use The Editor

A Xbox 360 All-Pro Football 2K8 roster file is required to use the editor.

For detailed instructions on getting your roster file from the Xbox 360 to your PC, read the opening sections of Operation Sports' Editing All-Pro Football 2K8 For Dummies.

For the short version:

1. Download Modio and USBXTAFGUI to your PC.

2. Format your minimum 1 GB USB thumb drive for Xbox 360 use.

3. Copy your All-Pro Football 2K8 roster from the Xbox 360 hard drive to your USB device.

4. Plug your USB device into your PC and open USBXTAFGUI.

5. Locate the All-Pro Football 2K8 .ROS file and extract it to your PC's desktop.

6.Open the .ROS file in the All-Pro Football 2K8 PC editor.

Saving Your Work in the Editor

You will notice that any time you hit "Save" in the editor, a message pops up saying, "File still needs to be resigned in order to work in-game."

To resign your edited All-Pro Football 2K8 file, open Modio on your PC.

Click the "M" in the upper-left corner of the screen, then choose "Open the Resigner."

Hit "Load File" and boot up your All-Pro Football 2K8 roster file. Click "Rehash and Resign," and you are done with Modio.

Make sure to repeat this process any time you make changes to your All-Pro Football 2K8 roster file.

Loading Edited Files Onto Your USB Device

For the final step, open USBXTAFGUI on your PC.

Open your USB drive, locate your old All-Pro Football 2K8 roster file and delete it.

Right-click on the empty space where your old roster file was previously, choose "Inject" and load your new roster file.

Close USBXTAFGUI, remove your USB device from your PC, and you are now ready to go play some All-Pro Football 2K8.

You'd have to use a hex editor to edit any non CAP team's name. Not sure if you could have 32 teams regardless. For last post you could edit some info, but you'd have to use a hex editor to make that player a CAP. Then as long as you don't re-edit the game on yer console you could have 3 or more golds on yer team. I have a 76 Steelers roster with 10 golds.

So how many custom teams can you have in one league, maximum?

Has nobody figured out what the N/A attributes are? Theres 3 Attributes that are in 2K5 that arent listed.

Aggressiveness-
Leadership-
Scramble-

There's only 27 on 2K5 so that still leaves 3 other attributes.

scramble is under consistency.

and I'm pretty sure durability is under that.

because the durability space now is too low, it is sometimes 10 or 20

and unkn 6 is kick power.

haven't figured out any, but i think UNK 24 has something to do with kickers, because it's maked at 99 for kickers, and punters have a 1.

It's not possible to edit on the PS3.

Sony has a file encryption system that the 360 doesn't.

Okay. So how do you do it then? I'm willing to do my own rosters.

Good find!

Well, if you need to get started with hex editing, check the "dummies" thread in this forum.

I'm not sure. I only have a 360.

USBXGTAF is basically a program that allows you to export/import save files from your PC onto an Xbox 360-enabled USB flash drive.

So you need a flash drive that's compatible with PS3.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you can't decrypt PS3 files that way.

I know for a fact it doesn't work. I'm guessing you're using a windows based PC and you just happened to find windows encryption method. Which is basically like a really advanced password protection scheme. And to put it simply it can't actually decrypt anything, it only can "decrypt" files that you already encrypted with that very same windows PC. It can't crack the PS3's 128-bit encryption.

And if it could decrypt files that easily then China's intelligence agency might want to start buying up a bunch of windows computers.
