Six Fixes for NBA 2K11
1. Fix My Player

The My Player mode had a lot of momentum before NBA 2K10 was released. After purchasing the NBA 2K10 Draft Combine and playing that over and over again, it was a letdown when all of that build up went away when I booted up NBA 2K10.

My Player mode had the potential, but a bunch of bugs ruined any chance it had to be truly successful. Obviously, some of the bugs were fixed in the patches but there is still much to work on.

One thing is that a 64-rated shooting guard should not be starting ahead of Wade or Kobe. Is does not matter that you can cheese your way into triple doubles every night, you should not be starting ahead of either one of them. Also a 5-foot-11 point guard cannot do anything at the small forward position. I would really like to see a lot of time implemented into the lineup adjustments for MY player.

Also can we get some contracts? No more of this one-year contract business before heading off to another team. If you want My Player to feel real, then let me make it real. Rarely does a NBA player play on his favorite team, so why should it have to happen here? Obviously, you should still let gamers play for their favorite team if they want to go that route, but let other gamers like me play for a long-term contract or a small deal where I have to come off the bench.

2. Put Online Play in the Game

I love playing Madden online, why not play some NBA 2K online also? Wait, you mean it is already implemented into the game? Interesting, when the game came out I could barely even play it online, and the online leagues did not even work correctly until after the second patch.

Simply put, fix online play. Let it be playable and functional from the start. The online leagues are a great idea, and with the layout and Web site that come along them, it makes it even more fun to follow them. So whatever it takes, make sure online play is working with little to no hiccups when NBA 2K11 is released.

3. Defense

A lot of people believe that defense was improved this year. Those people are right and wrong. In reality, the elimination of the one-on-one isolation drive before an easy dunk was the only truly major fix. Jump shots are still falling down left and right. Now, I also love the fact that we have sliders, but I do not like spending one month adjusting sliders to finally get my game the way I want it.

Man-on-man defense did take a slight step forward this year as well, but it is still too easy to get a quick shot off. Tighter, more aggressive defense needs to be implemented. Zone defenses also need to be adjusted. The whole point of a zone is to help when help is needed, not to stand there and stare as you see Rajon Rondo fly by for an easy layup.

4. Atmosphere

Atmosphere is something that has been needed for every sports-related game this generation. When NBA 2K9 hit store shelves in 2008, all the hype was around the big bad video that would play after you won the championship. Everyone who ended up seeing that video knows it was not anything special.

For those of you who play full 82-game seasons, it would be nice to experience something different in the playoffs. There needs to be louder crowds, home-court advantage and beer getting thrown on the scorer's table. We all know playoff basketball is a whole new game, so that should shine through when playing in a heated seven-game playoff series.

5. Player Movement and Animations

One thing that has been rather bothersome with past NBA 2K games is the player movements and animations. Too many times gamers see their point guard run in a circle only to get called for over-and-back. There are times when post defenders do not move the right way when going to block a shot. Getting stuck in these animations can almost ruin a perfect game, and since we have not had that "perfect" game yet, tweaking these elements is one way to get closer to the unattainable.

6. Relocate Teams

My bias is going to come out here. Most of you might not even care about this feature, but I can guarantee you that there are plenty of people who would gladly move the Oklahoma City Thunder to a certain rainy city -- having past NBA logos and jerseys for relocated teams would not be half-bad idea either.

There you have it, some things that I think could greatly improve NBA 2K11.

I think that players in NBA 2k11 should be able to fight. If you want the game to be as real as possible then make it like a real NBA game. Let the players fight, let the players argue with the refs, and let the fans get out of control. That would make the game great. I know if it had all that stuff in it then it would have to probably be rated T for Teen but OH WELL! It would be amazing.

If 2k gives us the option of choosing our own colors for shoes, they should give us the options of which jersey goes with which shoe color. Often times I may pick a off color jersey and the shoe color won't match. They also need to tone down on players muscularity. 2k also needs to fix the create a player mode where when you export a team the facial created remains the same instead of going to default face. 2k8 had this and it was awesome!!!!!, Bring back the options for low, medium and high black or white socks!!!!!!! and last but not least Sonics Jerseys for Thunders!!!!!

The biggest problem is that you can't load your draft class in my player mode, I have 2010-2013 draft classes and I can't use them AAAAAAAAAH. I stop my player mode( Center overall 83 after only one year take the knicks leading East 53-29, all star, first all nba team for a rookie not bad), I want Wall, Rubio, Harrisson Barnes, Enes Kanter etc... competing against them for the next 15 years.
2/Also can we get some contracts? Yeah
I want a 7 years 150 millions dollars contracts, finishing my last years ala Garnet.

They need to have a system where they can update not only player hairdos (for instance Brandon Jennings no longer has a mohawk, he just has regular short hair) and equipment and (Rondo wears leg sleeves on his legs and an arm sleeve but they only have him as having knee braces and no sleeve), but jumpshots as well,,also make the jumpshot more smooth (Steve Nash's jumpshot is more smooth than in 2k10 and put more momentum into some shots, whether or not a player is running should affect his shot type), and try to add in freethrows for every player instead of just "Generic". For me as a player, I love for everything to be realistic, so even though its not a factor to an arena, add in weather and show the outside of the stadium,,show players walking off the bus with headphones, show players and coaches getting interviewed, show players mad on the sidelines when they get a foul,,even add in a technical foul statistic for players like Perkins and Garnett and such. Also, show cutscenes of fans and players laughing if they are winning. Show the losing team pissed off if they are losing. Show injured players on the sidelines getting excited for their reserve if the reserve makes a big play or show the injured player getting walked back to the lockerroom. Show players in the lockerroom before the game too.

On defense player dont seem to be able to intercept passes its really annoying because in real life its not that hard to intercept a basketball pass that has been thrown right in your way.

i'd honestly like to see them get the simple things right like home/away sleeves, bands, etc. the right color (since when to the heat where red bands and sleeves in real life? C'mon 2K...)

i would love to see popular away team crowed like the lakers or cavs in different arena like mlb 10 the show.

i hope they'll add gorgeous pull-up jump shots like Kobe does.... some little shaky moves first, the a sudden pull-up jump shot... ow.. that's really sick!

along with the players weight and height, they should add the wingspan as well

They should make draft combine come with the game as a game mode.

one thing they need to fix is the online profiles so u dont have to change your settings everytime u play a match

More fouls for online play -- especially reach-in calls. I can't stand watching perimeter players reach constantly and not get called for fouls. Shooting percentages should also plummet online. And it would be great if there was a filter to match you up with players with similar records. I don't want to play against a team that is 170-22 because I know it's usually 7-5 players with 99s across the board.

I totally agree on the relocate teams. We need that in 2k12. Technical Fouls would be great too! When I got the game i was dissaponiting that they didn't have it.
