TIGERS SWEEP GIANTS
The Tigers scored three times in the top of the ninth, beating the Giants 4-2. Jose Agua, Pat Lemmon, Mike Trout, and Kyle Dutcher had RBI for the Tigers. Justin Verlander took a no decision, allowing two runs in seven innings.
The Tigers jumped out to an early 5-0 lead, en route to a 12-2 win over the Giants. Kyle Dutcher (43) homered twice, and Jose Agua (25), Spencer Torkelson (34), Javier Baez (22), and Mike Trout (30) also homered. Jack Flaherty (14-2) earned the win with six and a third innings of two run ball.
Kyle Dutcher (44) homered in the top of the 8th to break a 1-1 tie, as the Tigers beat the Giants 2-1. Matt Manning allowed one run in six innings, but took a no decision. Shelby Miller (4-1) earned the win in relief.
The Tigers have an off day on Monday, then head back home to host the Seattle Mariners (65-54) in a three game series, followed by a three game series against the Yankees.

TIGERS SWEEP MARINERS
Kyle Dutcher (40) homered in the top of the 9th, to lead the Tigers to a 6-5 win over the Mariners. Mike Trout (29) also homered. Jose Agua and Spencer Torkelson each had a pair of RBI.
For the second consecutive game, Kyle Dutcher (41) hit a late go ahead home run, giving the Tigers a 2-1 win. Casey Mize allowed one run in six innings, but got a no decision. Paul Cobra earned the win in relief.
The Tigers trailed 2-1 in the top of the 9th, when rookie catcher Pat Lemmon hit a grand slam off of Mariners closer Andres Munoz, powering the Tigers to a 5-2 win, and series sweep. Tarik Skubal allowed two runs in seven innings, taking a no decision. Jason Foley (4-0) picked up the win in relief.
The Tigers now head to San Francisco, for a three game weekend series against the Giants (62-55).

TIGERS SWEEP ROYALS
Game one between the Royals and Tigers was a slugfest, as the Tigers hung on to beat the Royals 12-9. Spencer Torkelson drive in four. Mike Trout (26) homered for the first time since being acquired by Detroit. Jose Agua (24) and Pat Lemmon (2) also homered. Casey Mize (14-3) allowed four runs in five innings, but picked up the win.
The Tigers won game two, 5-1, behind six one run innings by Tarik Skubal (22-0). Jake ROgers (18) hit a pair of home runs, and Mike Trout (27) homered for the second consecutive game.
The Tigers took game three, 3-1. Justin Verlander (11-5) was dominant for the third straight game, allowing no runs in eight innings. In three starts with the Tigers, he has yet to allow a single run.
The Tigers trailed 5-4 in the bottom of the ninth, when Mike Trout (28) hit a walk off two run home run, to complete the sweep. Trout had three RBI in the game. Andrew Chafin (5-1) earned the win in relief.
The Tigers have an off day on Monday August 5th. They then head out on a six game road trip, starting with three games in Seattle against the first place Mariners (64-49). They will then head to San Francisco, to take on the Giants (58-55).
