1. Defensive Player Name Display: The difference Between Revis Island and Kyle Wilson is pretty big, or being able to see who's edge rushing. Knowing where Defensive Playmakers are on the field is the key to any offense. If I see Aldon Smith in the game, I would like to know so that I can either audible to a quick throw, slide my protection, or have my RB pass block, or block and release. Being able to see Defensive Player Names also could be used to create mismatches for your Offense, Linebackers ... Read More

Expand Player Traits: Madden 12 has set the foundation to make future Maddens great. The features in Madden 12 were finally worthwhile, but they all felt like they were done half-heartedly. We got 75 man rosters, but no practice squad, Online Franchise was soo basic, I never bothered with Madden Ultimate Team, or Superstar Mode, so I won't comment on that. Then there was Dynamic Player Performance, which from my experience, was very inconsistent, left me wondering what was the criteria for going ... Read More

Position Specific stats: Madden has been using a very outdated stat display system, which isn't terrible, just not to telling of how exactly a player is performing. I love NBA2Ks Metric stat system that shows players stats from a completely different view than your standard stat tracking system. The defense in Madden is really the side that gets short handed when it comes to stats, other than tackles/tackle assists/total tackles/tackles for loss/sack, nothing else is really able to be viewed, meaning ... 1. Player Roles Expanded: I believe it was Madden 08 that first brought out player roles, could be wrong, but anyway when it was introduced, I thought it was a beginning of a beautiful thing, but all it really did was show icons under players, representing the type of skills they possessed. Fast forward to Madden 12, player roles has made a comeback, like a Shaq to Cleveland type comeback, but a comeback nonetheless. Now Player Roles are provided with stat increases/decreases with regards to a specific ... Read More

I've been following EA and their Madden Playbook blogs, and everything sounds promising, as evey year it does, but I must still play the Devil's Advocate, and rule out that Madden 13 can possibly not be good, or as good as what a Madden fan such as myself would have liked. So here's a Madden 13 Wishlist for anybody willing to listen, and feel free to list your wishes as well.

NCAAF 11 is showing us all its cards in deck, from graphics too gameplay, the NCAA development team is trying to make a point with its game, telling us that they just want to improve the overall game and feel to match much of what is seen on College Football, and so far, they are stating true to their word. From a graphic standpoint, I have never seen a football game that looks better than what NCAA 11

Madden 11 and the new inevitable gameplay feature that is supposed to revolutionize the Madden franchise, the same thing was said about Hit Stick, and Precision passing, both are afterthoughts, Precision passing, or QB Vision, is completely out of the game, and doesn't seem to be making a return to the next-gen consoles. So will GameFlow be another failed experiment? I believe GameFlow was created to combat Madden's lack of a passing game in Madden 10, in which I thought took a step back to Madden ... Read More

NCAA created a blog about their newly revamped running engine called LocoMotion, which allowed players to lean and accelerate accurately as depicted in real college football, the blog also displayed the game's new graphics, which were very impressive and raised speculation over if that was how the game really looked, to sum it up the blog put many smiles on NCAA fans.
Days later Madden announced they would be releasing a similar blog revealing that they too will be using the LocoMotion technology, ... Read More

Marc Bulger was just released by the ST.Louis Rams, supposedly clearing up space for rookie Sam Bradford, bad move if you ask me. At the very least, you keep him around and let him mentor Bradford, not to mention he had just signed a 6 year deal in 2006, so he's not walking away empty handed. This is a big mistake being that they have needs a other positions with players that could of been on the team for a long time like a DT or a OL, if Bradford gets hurt or doesn't play up to the level that people ... The NFL Draft is creeping up and there are more than enough NFL analyst with mock draft to get a good sense of what players will be drafted in the first round and by whom, question is, who do we want, or who do we think would help us.
My rules: Clearly I am not in a position that allows me to select who my team draft, but if I was I would use the following rules:
1. Never draft a RB, WR, FB, or TE in the 1st round...the bad strongly outweighs the good and and these position are ... Read More

The latest Madden blog talked about improvements to WR catching and DB reaction to the ball and the receiver, stating that WRs now determine the best catch animation to use in situations and are aware of where defenders are on the field and defensive backs play the receiver a lot more realistically. With thst being said we now have more catch animations that are used more realistically.
My Take:This is long overdue but I'm glad that EA is trying to identify problems in recent, ... Read More

Free Agency, which was deemed to be the most boring year in recent years, because of the uncapped year, teams would spend more to keep their players, but as of lately, guys have been getting cut left and right, veteran guys, who can still play. Cardinals' Dansby is about to be a free agent, I'm not sure what's going on with Joey Porter, but it seems he is a free agent, or headed that way. This week alone, we saw to all-pro RBs released to free agency, Julius Peppers is headed that way as well, and ... Read More
Madden's passing game was less than spectacular. Reasons for that is the interaction between receiver and defender, or lack thereof. The defenders don't act as if their is a WR attempting to catch the ball he just reacts to the ball and tries to make a play on the ball. The same goes for the receiver and his catch animations, total disregard that a safety is about to whack him. They don't respect each others ability in the game, and there is certain routes that are almost impossible to complete ... Read More

The Oakland Raiders just gave Kicker Sebastian Janikowski the biggest contract for a NFL Kicker, but does this come as a surprise from Al Davis. The question is whether or not this strikes a trend for more teams?
NFL teams rely on Kickers and Punters to go out and do their job, yet they don't get too much respect in the locker room or from anyone really. They are constantly heckled by their supposed to be teammates, but the truth is that their probably more valuable than those laughing. ... Read More

Year after year we see NFL teams draft players who they believe will change their franchise's fortune and fill seats. Taking a look at temas and their 1st round picks, I don't know who's to blame for teams that just don't strike gold, not even bronze, they get rubble in return, and a nice 1-2 year setback. I look at the Broncos, my team and their fortunes. Last year we had two 1st rounders, two chances to really improve our team, I was hoping for two defense players to really get the D up to speed ...
