WHO DO YOU THINK THE TOP 5 WIDE RECIEVERS ARE IN THE NFL TODAY!!!!!
Posted on May 23, 2009 at 10:05 PM.
You know i have to go with MY BOI #89 of the Carolina Panthers.. Steve Smith. This guy is an AMAZING wide reciever. Only 5-9 , he is by far THE BEST PUND _ FOR _ POUND and in my eyes ALL AROUND reciver in the NFL. He NEVER takes a play off and i believe he leads the NFL with the most 100 yard games by current NFL wide recievers.

If you disagree check out some of his highlight videos i have in my video section. YOU CANT tell me that theres a WR in the league who performs like this guy does .

MY TOP 5

1.Steve Smith (Carolina Panthers)

2.Larry Fitzgerald (Arizona Cardinals)

3.Randy Moss (New England Patriots)

4.Chad Ochocinco (Cincinnati Bengals)

5.Andre Johnson (Houston Texans)

You put Chad Johnson in your list, so it is automatically DQed.

njd.aitken: again.. more ignorance. Chad Johnson had a very quiet year but if you do YOUR HOMEWORK and look at his stats THEY ARE AMAZING !!!! You cant judge an athlete off of 1 year. I bet if i posted this blog a year from 2day, about 75% (just a rough guess) of people would have NEVER put Larry Fitz in their top 5. So again, keep an open mind and do your homework before you make yourself look like an idiot. Instead of bashing me for it, you shouldve asked WHY did i put Chad Ochocinco in my top 5.

TO EVERYBODY : I respect EVERYBODY'S choice of top 5. Different people have different opinions ! I enjoy competitive debates about sports ESPECIALLY football. So dont let your feelins get hurt if someone asks about why u have a reciever in your top 5. BUT dont bash anybody either because of the reciever/s they may have in their top 5. Im down with COMPETITIVE DEBATES , so keep posting your top 5 and lets get this thing rollin ! Thanx !

Avii: Thats what im talken about . But what makes you put Wes Welker in FRONT OF ALL THOSE OTHER PLAYERS???????????????
Too Smart: haha a top 10? ok i'll accept that.. i like your choice of guys u had in that list, my boi smith fell short to number 8 though wuss up with that?? But i still believe Chad has a good 3 years left in him. He was on a team that ranked 30th on total offense. Palmer was out quite a bit so he had nobody to throw to him and their offensive line is 1 of the worse in the league. Im not tryna make excuses but he just had a bad season. He's unhappy with the Bengals and doesnt wanna be their and he's forced to play for them. So we will see how this all turns out in the 09 season.

I have been watching Wes Welker's games since '05 in MIA. That kid got a certain intangible something that makes him come ahead of every single receiver in the NFL IMO.

He's got heart for the game, unmatched by the first-round-pick prima-donna's people are quick to pick. He is unafraid of the hit, has unbelievable toughness, always fearless. As a receiver, I'd pick him every single time ahead of others available right now.

I remember thinking that "wow, NE got Welker? They'd probably go undefeated" and BAM!

Avii: dass wuss up bro. Your a huge fan of Wes Welker, i cant knock you for that . I would have to disagree with you that he's the best though, but i respect your decision. Its your opinion. Just like in my opinion Steve Smith IS THE BEST !

here's the top 5:

1. Larry Fitzgerald
2. Randy Moss
3. Andre Johnson
4. Reggie Wayne
5. Steve Smith

Honorable mentions: Wes Welker, T.J. Houshmenzada, Marques Colston, Anquon Boldin
*these players get honorable mention because they aren't threats, but very productive recievers. Actually these three may be the three most productive in the past 2-3 years. The players in the top five are WRs which teams fear, and have to gamplan around.

Calvin Johnson has the potential to be one of the best, but he's just not there yet.

# 28 marcoyk @ May 26
1. Larry Fitz
2. Andre Johnson
3. Randy Moss
4. Calvin Johnson
5. Steve Smith

wooooahhh. you're saying Steve Smith is the undisputed best wide receiver in the NFL??? He's definitely elite but you can't say he's that much better than everyone else.

# 30 carolina_boi @ May 26
marcoyk: YES I AM SAYING STEVE SMITH IS THE BEST IN THE LEAGUE ! NO WR IN THE NFL PLAYS WITH THE HEART< EMOTION< AND INTEGRITY LIKE THIS GUY DOES ! IN MY OPINION STEVE SMITH IS THE BEST ! POUND FOR POUND, ONLY 5'9 185 lbs THAT IS SMALL IN THE NFL AND THIS GUY DEFINATLEY GOES OUT THERE EVRY SUNDAY /MONDAY !

WATCH STEVE SMITH VIDEOS IN MY VIDEO SECTION ! THERE IS NO WAY YOU CAN TELL ME THERES ANYBODY WHO CAN PLAY LIKE THIS GUY ! Sure the others might make plays and be possesion recievers but Steve Smith stands out with his spectacular catches for a guy as small as he is. HE'S A MONSTER !
