Madden NFL 09 Preview

We have just posted our Madden NFL 09 preview. Although I didn't get any hands on time with the game, there is some good information here.

"Ah yes, Madden, the game I was most eager to get my eyes on at EA Sports Vancouver. So no time for intros or idle chit-chat, because this is Madden you guys know the history, so I won’t bore you with those details.

Upon arriving for the Madden festivities Phil Frazier (Senior Producer) and Dale Jackson (Executive Producer) greeted everyone as they walked into the room. The first thing they talked about was the new "Virtual Trainer" mode, where you can play up to 12 different modes in a holographic environment. These modes included the likes of running, passing, rush defense and pass defense drills, and there are three drills within each category to sharpen your Madden skills. Behind the scenes, as you are playing these modes -- and games in general -- there is a system that studies your abilities as a Madden gamer; which leads us to the new Madden IQ."

Congratulations to "babythug23" who won the last contest. For setting up his mini-avatar and correctly picking the Lakers to beat the Jazz by 10 and also being the closest with his tie-breaker answer "babythug23" wins a copy of NBA Ballers: Chosen One and a round-trip ticket on Southwest Airlines.

Today, we wrap up the contest with another copy of the game and round-trip flight!

Today's game we'll be focusing on is game three between the L.A. Lakers and Utah Jazz. To be in the running for the prizes tell us the margin you think one of the teams will win by and who will score the most points (e.g. Lakers by 4. Kobe 30 points).

No Console For Hawk This Year?

According to VideoGamer, it looks like the Tony Hawk crew is taking a year off and only making a DS title this year. Are you disappointed or happy with this decision?

Bizarre Creations Finished with PGR4, Hands DLC Duties to Microsoft

"Bizarre Creations won't be adding anything more to PGR4 in the future," he wrote. "We've completed the hand-over to Microsoft, so any further add-ons will come from them and not us I'm afraid." The news probably wouldn't sting so much had the last update not been so incredibly cool, leaving us now waiting to see what else the British studio has up its racing sleeves."
