As we navigate through the NBA playoffs, it's time to start taking stock of things. We're down to four teams, and the Draft Lottery is just around the corner. Coaching changes are still coming (sup, Scott Skiles), and in all there's lots of teams trending in many different directions.
So I want to take this opportunity to play a little game of you all: NBA Stock Market.
Below, I'm going to give one team I think is trending up, one team I think is holding steady, and then one team that is trending down. I'm basing this on how I would feel about playing with that team in NBA 2K's Association Mode moving forward and weighing it against how I would have felt using the team earlier in the season.
From there, I'd love to hear what categories you might put some teams in at this juncture.

With the NFL Draft upon us, you’ve no doubt spent hours reading through the countless Mock Drafts available online. I don’t blame you. After all, who doesn’t love a good mock draft? Football fans love to play GM, and a great place to scratch the GM itch is the Madden franchise. With that in mind, here’s a look at what the first 10 picks in the 2016 NFL Draft might look like if the draft took place in the Madden universe.

Has a friend ever told you about a popular song you have yet to hear? He tells you that it’s tearing up the charts and he can’t figure out why because it’s so terrible. So one day, you’re driving home from work and the song finally comes on the radio. You’re ready to agree with your friend, but you find yourself bobbing your head and thinking, “you know, this song ain’t that bad.” You’re almost embarrassed to admit it, but you actually like the song.
Well, that’s the frame of mind I was in when I wrote this article three months ago. And now that I’ve listened to the song a few times, I now understand where my friend was coming from.

Ever since its introduction on the Dreamcast, NBA 2K has been my favorite sports video game franchise by far. Its bread and butter is, without question, the gameplay. Basketball purists appreciate the realism and extreme attention to detail. This game is quite possibly the most authentic representation of its sport when compared to other franchises. And 2K’s continued focus on improving various gameplay mechanics keeps players coming back year after year.
With gameplay as fun and realistic as 2K’s, it’s easy to get caught up playing exhibition games, ignoring the variety of gameplay modes offered in the 2K series. In fact, my favorite mode to play is exhibition, as I have a yearly series of games with a good friend of mine. We track the final scores from each game and keep track of who’s in the lead. The gameplay mechanics are so diverse that each game feels fresh and exciting.

The NFL season has finally begun, and by now, all the Madden junkies have had ample time to gobble up the game. Now we’re in the digestion period where opinions are being formed and potential improvements to Madden 17 are already being thought about. So in order to break up the tension a bit, it’s time to discuss what really matters: uniforms. Here is a light-hearted, please-don’t-take-this-too-personally-or-seriously look at the three best and worst uniforms in Madden 16.

For many athletes, playing defense isn’t nearly as fun as offensive. The same holds true for many gamers, myself included, more so when it comes to Madden. In the past, defensive efforts felt like going through the motions and that the user had little control over the outcome. Part of that is only being able to control one out of the 11 players on the field, sure, and to a large extent there’s only so much a developer can do to give the user a greater sense of control. With Madden 16, I think EA Sports has made great strides in this department.

With summer heating up and the basketball and hockey seasons winding to a close, that can mean only one thing: Madden is right around the corner (it used to mean NCAA Football was close as well *sniffles*). A bunch of franchise information has trickled out recently, which gives fans of the series some news to feast on as the release date draws closer.

Last week, I made some suggestions on how to get started with OOTP '16. But now that you have started your league and are ready to take control of your very own franchise, you may be wondering, "Well, what the heck do I do now?”
That’s where this guide comes in to help.

Which means there’s only one thing to do: Figure out what team to dominate your Connected Franchise with next season.
For some, picking a team for a franchise mode is almost as important as anything you will ever do in your life. That’s why we’re getting this out of the way now, three months before the game comes out. With the NFL Draft and free agency finished (at least for the most part beyond some post-June 1 cuts that may shake things up), there’s a little more roster clarity.
Having a three-month head start might help you clear your head and figure out what team is a better option for you. On some level, it would make sense to make a case for each of the 32 teams, but hopefully narrowing it down to just five teams will help crystallize things a bit more.
Important note: Tampa Bay and Tennessee are obvious choices that will be omitted from this list. A lot of people will jump at the chance to play with Jameis Winston or Marcus Mariota. For this list, we’ll look beyond those two teams.
Here are five teams, in no particular order, which you should think about for your franchise mode in Madden 16.

OOTP is the type of game that can seem very overwhelming to newcomers, given all of the options and tools available to the user. Veterans of the series eagerly anticipate each yearly release, but for those skeptical of trying it out due to the complexities of the game, this guide is for you. There are three basic game types to choose from:
- Standard MLB, which is what this guide will cover.
- Historical Season, which is similar to Standard MLB, except that instead of starting with current day MLB rosters and settings, you can start your career with any MLB season dating back to 1871. Most of the tips in this guide can be applied to this mode as well.
- Custom, which is recommended for those who have played the game for some time as there are a lot of customizable options here. Once you are comfortable with OOTP, you will start many games using the custom game creation wizard.

Nothing gets the virtual nerves going like a good one-on-one battle. For most gamers, this conjures up images of Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat, and fighting three rounds to the death. But for me, few things in the gaming world excite me like battling through a tough out during an at-bat.
Perhaps I'm in the minority, but with MLB 15 The Show, I get far more joy when throwing strike three than I do belting a home run. Baseball is often referred to as chess-on-grass. Taking that one step further, each at-bat can feel like its own chess match. You have to think five pitches ahead. Taking it one pitch at a time might earn you an earlier-than-expected trip to the dugout.

MLB 15 The Show's Road to the Show mode is as solid as it’s ever been. If you’ve never been a fan of the mode, there’s nothing new here to win your heart. But longtime fans of RttS will enjoy a more refined experience that comes from an improved overall game.

Imagine running the break with CP3. As you grab the board and run in transition, Boogie Cousins lifts off to the rim, resulting in a perfectly-timed lob for a thunderous alley-oop as Sleep Train Arena erupts. For this to be reality, the NBA would have to gift Sacramento the All-Star Game. But with NBA 2K15, NBA reality is - as we all know – whatever you want.
