Vikings Stadium Bill passed by the House

Great news Vikings fans. Our stadium has taken the next step towards becoming a reality. Last night, the House passed a bill that would allow the Vikings to build their new stadium on the site of the current Metrodome facility.

During the conference, many members argued that if they didn't pass this, the Vikings still wouldn't leave. I'm glad there was enough common sense in that room to disagree.

Details of the bill are still sketchy to me, and I can't remember everything. I do know they are asking the Vikings to pay more up front for the stadium, rather than the rough estimate of 420 million the Vikings preferred. The new number is somewhere around 500 million.

Either way, great news and hopefully it keeps moving along!
