Just another week as a Vikings fan
Posted on September 20, 2011 at 02:55 AM.
Another week down, another week that could have been a good one. The Vikings are outscoring their opponents 34-7 in the first half this season, yet they are 0-2. However, is there some moments that can make a guy think this team has a chance? I think so. They have shown that they can compete with two teams that are probably going to be in a playoff hunt. They have also shown that they can't finish off those teams. Hopefully they can finish a game one time and finally get some momentum going.

On another note, Cam Newton showed what he is capable of doing this week against the Packers. Even though he is incredibly raw; 2 ints, he has put up 400+ yards as a rookie QB. That is something I don't think has ever happened. Also the Bills are 2-0, which is incredibly absurd. The Browns beat the Colts. Is this year the year the Colts finish near dead last and make a push for Andrew Luck to take the reigns after Manning is gone? Also the Giants showed that they can win a game by going 3 and out about 6 times in a row. Atlanta took down the NY Yankees of the NFL in surprising and yet impressive fashion. KC looks like their in the race to go 0-16, sweet Charles, get hurt after being my 1st round pick in fantasy football. What a year so far, honestly if the Bills keep winning, I might pick up their whole team for my fantasy football league because, my running backs are dropping like flies. First Steven Jackson, now Jamaal Charles. I guess Cadaliac Williams and some other scrub will have to hold it down for a bit, jesus.

Also, when is this NBA lockout going to end? Honestly, if I hear one more comment from Derek Fisher about how united the players are and how bad they want the deal to get done, I'm going to throw up. I hate this guy. Stop being selfish on both parts and get a deal done. Nobody cares about revenue sharing or how the players want bigger salaries. The NFL did the right thing and it is striving right now because of it. Jesus, I guess I'll be watching a lot of hockey. Positive thing is, I won't have to be flipping through channels and see the Timberwolves on tv, that's about as painful as watching a full game of soccer. Move the Wimblewolves and not the Vikings and put the new stadium over the Target Center. Speaking of basketball, Ron Artest sucks and the whole Lakers team is on my sh*t list. Kobe, Fisher, Artest; or should I say Metta World Peace, get real and stop doing these stupid names. Ocho is alright because he did it first but seriously Ronald? Disappointed the Bulls drafted that clown. Well, I guess this wraps up my ramblings for this blog attempt. BTW, it is my first blog post! I am going to try do more because I have a lot of spare time, thanks EA for your lousy games; ha just kidding, I'm actually enjoying Madden, NCAA, and NHL now that I said I don't care and just play the games. Speaking of that, anyone who wants to add me on PSN, add me at Lorenz112; or on XBL, AuthenticOS. Add me up, I'll dust you in some games. I only have Gears of War 3 for 360 now though, so add me for that strictly, unless your interested in Call of Duty, which is my game, literally.

PEACE

It has definitely been just another couple of weeks for Vikings fans. I liked what they did in the first half by actually passing the ball and then balancing it out nicely with AP. Then the first play of the second half they try pounding the ball up the middle again and it almost seemed all down hill from there. I really like our team this year, especially without all the drama but they just need to keep opening up the offense since that will make AP even more dangerous. I am also very excited to Kevin Williams back so that should boost our D. I have been a loyal Vikings fan for 20 some years and as tough as it has been, Im still loyal to the Purple!

I'm glad I'm not the only Vikes fan left these days. We should have won last week, plain and simple. We were up 17-0 at the half. You don't lose a game when you have a lead like that. They come out of the half and march it right down, as they should. Then that onside kick happens, but they don't score. Right then is when a great or even good team either scores or at least takes back the momentum. I believe we went three and out and from then on the Bucs had all the momentum.

As for drama, Tyrell Johnson was pulled over and blew a 0.12 when the legal limit is 0.08 in Minnesota. I'm very interested in what they will do. I have a feeling they were waiting for one of these 2 safeties to screw up. Johnson may have just made it very easy on the coaches.

It certainly has been a Tale of Two Halves the last couple of weeks. Its kind of a cliche but its almost the perfection definition of what it means. I havent really noticed anyone giving up on plays or losing a step, we just get out played. Heck we would be talking about a win had the DB (Johnson maybe, cant remember) made the interception in the redzone at the end of the game. Just little things like that make you wanna pull your hair out!

Way to go Tyrell. That must have just recently happened, havent heard anything about it. But he must have been getting ready to meet up with Rhett Boehmer.

It happened last night. Tyrell will most likely be cut or traded.

before the end of the year u will know 1st hand why the eagles got rid of mcnabb

The Eagles got rid of McNabb because they wanted to focus on the future. McNabb isn't done yet. He hasn't been bad this year, the offense is new to everyone. Anyone who is actually a Vikings fan or knows football in general knows that a brand new offense takes time. For what the Vikings have done in the first two games, there is reason to believe this team "could" be good. McNabb is a great person to have in the clubhouse, and has showed he still wants to win. I love how people will say a player is done because he has one bad year, remember a guy named Brett Favre?
