AWESOME! The Sharks were a tired bunch to say the least, but the Hawks were the better team. Especially Corey Crawford who continued his torrid pace in these playoffs, aside from the only loss of the series he was stellar. Come game 5 the Hawks were ready to take a giant step under Mike Haviland, and make a statement that they are going to be a team to be reckoned with in the Finals, and this year they aren't coming home without Lord Stanley, here we go....

Just amazing, the horseshoe is directly up the a** of the Hurricanes. Never seen anything like it, 4 more OT games, and the Canes somehow knock out the #2 seeded Capitals. These teams are dangerous in the playoffs, they taste victory and almost forget how to lose. Whoever they face in the finals will have their hands full, as the Cam Ward led Canes have punched their ticket to the Finals.

This is probably the best thing that could have happened for the Hawks. Not the opponent, but the fact that the Hawks swept the Wings, and the Sharks had to go all seven to be Columbus, with FOUR of those games going to OT, hopefully the Hawks will see a tired Sharks team, or a team now in a groove, and happy not to have any time off in between the two series.

Game 2 was the key to everything, one bounce here or there and the series could have been totally different. COREY CRAWFORD, the man seems to be on a mission since his future as the Hawks #1 was questioned. Four games in this series, and he gave up 4 goals, can't really get much better then that. Crawford was on a similar run the Season the Hawks went to the finals but wore down, will this year be different? Only time will tell, on to the Conference Finals! Hopefully the scoring picks up, that would be my only concern moving forward, a lot of young guys in prominent positions, interested to see how they perform.

Can Neuvirth hold up throughout the playoffs? The regular season was his, posting unbelievable numbers, they move onto the Conference Finals to meet the upstart Hurricanes.

Wow, first of all what an upset, but what in the hell is with the OT games, the Canes clearly have that special something that is allowing them to win these games, his name is probably Cam Ward, but they move on to the Conference Finals.

I didn't like the match up coming in because I know how the Blues play, tight. But as I said before the difference with this Hawks is that they can play any style. After a tight game one, the Blues panicked and starting playing the Hawks' game, and that spelled the end for the Blues. Game 2 and 3 were wide open and the Hawks thrived with all the open ice. Once the Blues fell back into their system they got a goalie win from Halak, but that wasn't enough as the Hawks powered past them in Game 5. Congrats to Mike Haviland for winning his first playoff series as a head coach, on to the second round!
