Does the Madden NFL 13 Scoreboard Banner Need an Adjustment? Stuck

Is it just me or does the Madden NFL 13 scoreboard banner look odd, at the top? If they are using the ESPN license, one would think it would look similar to the above picture.

Of course, that is a photoshopped image, I'm using as an example. If it were me, I'd first remove the top scoreboard banner and bring it down to the bottom, just like ESPN broadcasts do. Add the play clock to the right side and replace the ESPN logo with an EA Sports logo and be done with it. Just looks out of place, at the top.

Again, maybe it's just me.

What do you think? How would you change it? Maybe you like it as is...? Post your thoughts.

I agree. I love how it looks at the bottom. I can't put my finger on it, but I do not like how the scoreboard EA has looks.

Madden will never understand presentation. Even when they talk about it you are left thinking "they don't get what presentation truly is". I understand there is some conflict between their NFL license and the ESPN license, so why not have ESPN branded games and NFL Network branded presentation. Even NFL Head Coach a few years back had some nice NFL Network style updates - but then again, Head Coach had some great things that we are still waiting on in franchise mode.

I don't like the font they used. That serif font looks terrible!

Is the font on EA's score bug the same as the bold font that's prominently used in many places on NFL.com? It sure looks like it.

I actually like the implemented Madden 13 score bug a lot. I wouldn't mind seeing them moving it to the bottom of the screen, or providing an option to do so, however. We aren't getting ESPN graphics in Madden anytime soon, though, and we all know that.
