We were able to go 2-0 in our other user games with
Notre Dame dismantling the Ducks 45-15. Tyree still leads the Heisman watch with 4 TDs vs #20 Oregon.
The snap back Sun Devils make another late comeback to win 39-38 vs #5 Baylor. Arizona State gave up a late score after coming back from down 12 in the 4th but put together a 2min drive caping it off with a walk off 41 yd FG. Sun Devils are ranked in the Coaches poll for the First time at #21 & made a huge jump in the AP poll all the way to #9.

In the ACC after surviving what may have been their toughest part of the schedule going 3-0 against ranked conference opponents #3 Oklahoma gets upset in Lubbock by unranked Texas Tech 35-18. Sooners fall 14 spots to #17.
Alabama beats North Carolina 35-28 too stay alive in the SEC title hunt Tar Heels not dead yet but going to need chaos to find their way into the SEC championship let alone the playoffs.
The rookie QB Kenny Pickett played very good in this one but I think Im getting a better sense of the new passing system.
The eagles lead for almost the entire first half until the Steelers were able to drive down and tie it right before half at 10-10.
Picket made a few mistakes in the second half but the defense bailed us out with a pick 6 that ended up being the game sealing tuddy.
Im also noticing the CPU seems to really fall off the rails if you get up on em with a strong D as we picked off hurts 4 times total and a lot late. There is some slider sets i think could be better than just playing on All Madden so we might change it up next game.
Gave 10 Min quarters a try.. still a bunch of turnovers but less from the CPU & I definitely made a lot of bad decision so I dont mind it. I like the number of possessions for each team so we will continue with this length for now.
Pats jumped out early with Mac Jones slinging it around. The Arizona defense was able to return a fumble for six to keep it close in the first half.
In the second half Murray would end up throwing a couple costly INTs and the Pats defense would score on their own fumble recovery TD when Conner fumbled late in the 3rd pretty much killing any comeback momentum we had. Cards were able to get a couple late Tuddies to make it closer than this one was as the Pats win 43-35 to advance to the second round.

Irish extend the nations longest home win streak in dominating fashion once again. The defense holding the Ducks to field goals & Heisman front runner Tyree with 4 TD one from 69 yards out was the difference in this one.
#1 Notre Dame will go on the road for the first time this year to face Cincinnati in a Big10 divisional game.
So both games thus far we have unfortunately upset the CPU and both times a top QB throwing a pick 6 to CPU defender.. dont love to see it but we will continue. Only looking to adjust time at the moment. I played this game twice because first time I tried 15min quarter with accelerated play clock & the score was good at the end of 3 quarter 27-21 vikes.. but there was 4 INT by myself and Joe burrow had 5 picks as well so i had to scrap that game lol. Hoping 10min clock with no accel will give us a little more sim realism next game.
While im waiting for sliders, draft classes, etc to settle down. I've decided to start a 32 team bracket.
Teams were seeded based off overall rating for Madden 23.
I use a random wheel spinner to decide which team I will be controlling.
For the first time this year we had all 3 user controlled teams in action and we went 3-0!

Notre Dame looked like the true #1 dominating FSU 56-24
Oklahoma State went on the road and picked up a huge division win 48-38 over Alabama.

In the ACC Oklahoma Beats Auburn on a FG with 2min left in the game to win 38-35. Sooners look to be in the drivers seat in the division & conference overall going 3-0 against three top tier ACC foes.
Clemson smacked Michigan 52-3.
#11 North Carolina was on the brink of upsetting #2 two weeks in row but 21 unanswered by the Cyclones in the 4th gave Iowa State the 31-13 win.
There was an upset in the Big 10 when the unranked Ducks went on the road to dismantle #10 Kansas State. Oregon moves one spot ahead of the wildcats at #20.
#23 Washington was beaten 40-21 by Virginia. These teams swapped spots in the polls with Huskies no unranked & the Hoos the new #23.

Our two user games this week are two of the top three games on the slate.
Arizona State gets a chance to pick up a huge upset as #5 Baylor travels to Tempe. more to come on this one shortly.
Gameday is headed to South bend for the first time since the double OT win over Clemson in 2020. for #1 Notre Dame vs #20 Oregon. Ducks coming off upset win over #10 K State last week. We will look closer at this on the Notre Dame episode.
Not much elsewhere in the NCAA as far as ranked match ups but one key game Im looking at is #12 Alabama vs #13 North Carolina. Who ever loses this one might have a hard time fighting their way back into playoff contention loser will have 3 loses on the year.
We had a top 10 SEC showdown between the cowboys & the crimson tide. Both needing a win after losing last week.
First quarter was slow for both teams the Cowboys having success but throwing an INT in the redzone. Bama also threw a pick on the first series but were able to score first with a 45 yd run by Gibbs.
The teams would go back and forth all second quarter until the cowboys held Bama to a FG followed by another INT on their next series and were able to punch in two touchdowns in the final two minutes to go up 28-17 at half.
The 3rd quarter was slow and whacky with a muffed punt followed by an Sanders second INT of the day and Bama was finally able to score half way through making it a 4 point Cowboys lead.
Cowboys would go on to score 17 unanswered to end the 3rd & start the 4th. Alabama would rally late with a 75 yard bomb, recovering an onside kick, & throwing another 39 yard tuddy in about 15 seconds. Making it a 7 point game with 1:30 to go. Luckily we recovered the SECOND onside kick.. and were able to ice the game with a 50 yard FG with 32 seconds left. Tide couldnt find another miracle this time Pokes beat the Tide for the second year in a row this time 48-38.
