Madden NFL 16 at E3 - Message From Rex Dickson In Game Creative Director Stuck
Posted on June 13, 2015 at 11:15 AM.

OS Readers

On Monday June 15th, we will be unveiling additional Madden 16 information at the EA E3 press conference. The Madden 16 gameplay deep dive blogs will be posted online after the press conference. We had a very big year and we can't wait to show you the full scope of everything we went after.

From Tuesday through Thursday Madden 16 will be playable at the EA booth on the show floor. If any OS readers are lucky enough to be attending the show, please drop by the booth and ask for us. For the rest of you, the team will be monitoring the OS boards throughout the week so please let us know what you think.

The team worked extremely hard to make Madden 16 the greatest game in franchise history and I am incredibly proud of what we accomplished. Looking forward to hearing your reactions throughout the week.
Enjoy all the news announcements and we hope to see or hear from some of you at the show!

Oh thank the Lord, news and info is coming.

Unfortunately we get this every year and then end up disappointed. Madden is developed for head 2 head play, fast paced, simple, and pick up and score. I am a CFM user vs CPU player; after 1 season the commentary, gameplay, presentation, and CPU teams all get stale.

I'm looking forward to it.

Totally agree. I really like Rex's vision (and passion) for the Madden franchise, and can't wait to read some of the blogs on Monday. In terms of gameplay, one thing that I am really looking for this year is better animations. There are a few clunky animations in M15 that drive me nuts -- like when I throw a drag or sideline route and my WR's momentum carries him out-of-bounds or when my RB gets stuck in an animation with a defender only to have a second defender come in and cause a fumble with the hit stick. Hoping that M16 plays like NCAA 12 or 13.

Nothing wrong with hoping it plays like NCAA 12 or 13, but hopefully it plays more like the real nfl and less like a video game from previous generation.

I want to be excited but I hear every year around this time from someone at EA that is going to be the "best game ever in the franchise" so I have to be jaded until I see it in action.

11 years of posting on the Madden Wish-List. Heard ALL the reasoning why something wasn't in, then NFL Head Coach 09 came out. That removed any excuses that it couldn't be done and increased the push for a DEEP Franchise mode.

Tomorrow:
8 man Practice Squad

46 Man Game Day Roster

Wear & Tear Injury System, Injuries carryover into the following season. Injuries in Practice. Injured Players listed as Probable, Questionable, Doubtful & Out. Meaning, you have to be careful how you practice injured players (like Romo all last year).

Every Season is connected in Franchise mode. Audio is specific for Off-Season, Pre-Season, Regular Season, Post Season & Super Bowl.
Injuries are now mentioned in the Pre-Game & Halftime.

Post Season stats and records kept.

Super Bowl Trophy's and Banners the following season and stay throughout your entire Franchise.

Penalties

Sports Ticker of Scores From the other games being played that day. Sun night game ticker has all the final scores. Same for Mon Night Games. Thur Night ticker gives a run down of the weekend upcoming games.

Deep Draft Presentation. The Biggest Off-Season Event the NFL has, it's Presentation needs to be addressed in a BIG way.

Drafted Players storylines carryover to the Audio Presentation from the guys in the booth.
Drafted players highlighted as Stars of tomorrow NFL! (That's why people lose interest in created Draft Classes, who are these guys? Make them known!)

Full Coaching Staffs!!!

There's a ton more in the Wish-List thread that were told EA looks at. This is what we've wanted in the game. Last Madden to start to address things we've wanted was Madden 12! Hopefully Madden 16 is a HUGE Step in the right direction.

Another random but small feature that would be nice to have is an update to the weather options. In the old NCAA games we were able to adjust the temperature and weather through the weather channel. That assisted in having a great sim football experience when you play.

Dirk,
Rex has been engaging with the community the last two years he's been there. He posted on OS weeks ago to let us know what would be coming for gameplay was going to be good and that WR/DB was just one announcement and more would be coming leading up to E3. He's pretty active within the community, as is CLint Oldenburg.

Shutdown Corner doesn't know anymore than us. Tomorrow my man I can't wait.

# 41 khaliib @ Jun 14
Hopefully video footage of actual gameplay is put out for the community to witness such "improvements" and judge for themselves because write ups, even with great detail, will not suffice because football perspectives vary greatly.

Let the gameplay speak for itself!!!

Step2001 hit the nail on the head

@jpdavis82: Yeah, I hear ya. The reason why I mentioned NCAA 12/13 is because, in my opinion, those were two of the better football games that EA released in the past decade strictly from a gameplay standpoint. Running the football felt so natural in NCAA whereas in Madden, it feels a little disjointed and frustrating especially when I keep running into my O-line. I did feel that M15 was a step in the right direction though.

Khaliib, the Madden Twitter account said they would be posting gameplay videos of M16 this week.

Again this year it seems like opening up Complete Editing is not in the plan. ? .
But I implore you to get one more section of editing opened for Madden 16.
We need to have the Height / Weight/ Head Color/ Hair Style and body sizes Editing sections accessible. This allows us to fix future glitches that just happen in random draft classes, and do ruin the CFM experience for alot of people.
And access to editing in general needs to be opened up to allow editing of every player on every team in a CFM, not just the teams controlled via a human user.
