Madden NFL 16 at E3 - Message From Rex Dickson In Game Creative Director Stuck
Posted on June 13, 2015 at 12:15 PM.

OS Readers

On Monday June 15th, we will be unveiling additional Madden 16 information at the EA E3 press conference. The Madden 16 gameplay deep dive blogs will be posted online after the press conference. We had a very big year and we can't wait to show you the full scope of everything we went after.

From Tuesday through Thursday Madden 16 will be playable at the EA booth on the show floor. If any OS readers are lucky enough to be attending the show, please drop by the booth and ask for us. For the rest of you, the team will be monitoring the OS boards throughout the week so please let us know what you think.

The team worked extremely hard to make Madden 16 the greatest game in franchise history and I am incredibly proud of what we accomplished. Looking forward to hearing your reactions throughout the week.
Enjoy all the news announcements and we hope to see or hear from some of you at the show!

I already have the game ordered and paid for. I know what I'm getting, nevertheless, I like the confidence being shown and I can't wait to hear more about what they've been cooking.

Interesting, Rex addressing the OS crowd. Let the games begin.

So here's why he said Madden 25 and 15 were developed in shorter cycles. Madden 25 was released in November 2013, meaning they probably started working on M15 in let's say December, Madden 15 was released Aug 2014, that's how it was a shorter cycle. Madden 16 has probably been in development since, I'd guess around September of 2014.

I'm glad that you're going to be there CM. You will bring neither pom pom's nor eight inch serrated daggers to the party, so I know that I'll get a good read on the game.

Please test the game out as cpu vs cpu or player vs cpu and check on anything that doesn't look like the NFL. Just appears the game is tested with an emphasis on head to head play. Really looking forward to all sliders working as they should, including penalties. Thank you.

I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts too CM. Are you going to be recording any interviews with the developers?

@JP - I'm not attending E3 as media, rather as a developer. I don't plan on taking videos, I will leave that to the YouTube personalities such as Shopmaster unless I'm explicitly invited to shoot some footage. Personally I'd rather spend my time focusing on what the game is (as opposed to making sure I'm getting good footage) and enjoying my time at E3, as this is my first trip out to LA for the expo.

I'm all eyes and ears. Let's see if Madden goes full on sim style

Rex or any developer!!!

Unlocking the "User Defined Camera" settings for gamer use, would really say a lot about the current developement team and it's focus/belief on providing the user with the opportunity to have the best Madden experience they could have.

If you have the authority, would you be willing to give the go-ahead to make the feature accessible to the gamer for M16?

It's all ready for gamer use, just need someone to say "Let's Do It"!!!

Looking forward to hopefully some User vs CPU gameplay to see what "improvements" the AI have received.

Come at me, bro!

what would make Madden 16 the best Madden ever is if the added a true coach mode Ala the NCAA Football series. But that is minor in the grand scheme of things but major to me. I do think that M16 will take a huge step forward in game-play and presentation.

2K can still produce a football game just wont be licensed. Unlicensed games survived back in the day Baseloaded, all-star baseball just have to be fun to play. The 1st Madden wasn't licensed. So its not EA's fault 2K is not producing a football it is their own decision. So please let that argument go. They could have upped their bid if they wanted the exclusive deal as bad as you guys want them to have it. My apologies to the OS Staff but I get tired of 2K being victimized. They had the same opportunity.

Lets keep this on-topic. And remember, forum rules apply in blogs as well. Just FYI.

Rex if you happen to see this I want you to know that just doing this means a lot to the community here. This place at times can be a hornets nest for you guys so just letting us know that you pay attention goes a long way.
