Longest you have ever played a sports game? Stuck

It's now May 21, and I'm still playing MLB 09: The Show strong. My pace is still about 1-2 games per day and it looks like I'm 100% for sure going to finish my first ever full season of a baseball game by playing every game in quite awhile.

I don't think I'm stopping anytime soon either. I may be playing The Show well into October. For a guy like myself, who reviews sports games, it's awful hard to stick to a game that long without getting fully distracted by other titles. So playing The Show strong for almost seven months is saying something.

But what about you? What is the longest you have ever played any sports game? I know the lifespan of sports games in my consoles is comparatively short to other folks'. How long has your longest 'relationship' with a game lasted?

ESPN NFL 2K5 by far. I played it when it came out and still play the game at least once a week, and still (gasp!) find new things I haven't seen before.

The Smackdown vs. Raw games, especially 2008, have been in heavy rotation, but that's only because I run a league and need to make CAWs, et cetera.

Other than that, I get a lot of mileage out of hockey titles. NHL 2K7, NHL 2K8 and NHL 08 were always huge off-season gaming titles for me and 09 looks to continue that.

NCAA 09 and MVP 05. I traded MVP 05 like an idiot a couple years ago and after buying a Wii I found out that it came out on Gamecube as well. I found a copy and scooped it up.

I bought NCAA 09 in November and have played it constantly since. I'll probably play NCAA 10 for the whole year except for a few forays into Madden (which I'll get for Christmas).

Still play NHL and Madden 93&94 from time to time. Always up for Super Tecmo Bowl too!. I also cant tall you how much time was put into our 4 player NCAA 07 Dynasty on XBOX - We would still be playin it.

NBA Live 95, NBA Live 96, NFL Quarterback Club 96 NHL 96 for the SNES. Played those from late 1995 to mid 2000 when I finally decided to upgrade to a PS1. Lol.Those where the days of sports gaming. No fancy graphic, no dynasty mode, no online play. You either played exhibition games until one of your buddies came over and ya'll played against each other. Or you got a season started up and played every game to the championship.

In recent years (ie since I got married), NCAA 06 and NFL 2K4 (not 2K5 which disappointed me). I played the Show 07 a ton and actually got about 130 games in which is impressive since baseball is secondary to football for me.

NFL 2K5 and College Hoops 2K7. Still play College Hoops, but The Show is quickly becoming my go-to sports game. Oh, and I'll just mention that the only reason I still have my SNES hooked up is for the few times a year I need to throw down in NHL 95.
